the warriors is definitely one of the most memorable games i have played. plus it has co-op too

There's only one option if we're not changing anything else: i7-6700
thanks alot! i appreciate it!
SetsulYes, but it's a bit tight. So for example 720p 60fps or 1080p 30fps is probably not possible.
For streaming an i7 would be better but if you just want to occasionally stream in 720p 30fps at best the 150$ extra aren't really worth it.
Ah okay. I'd like to be able to stream well, so I'm gonna go with the i7. Which one would you recommend?

I'd say this would be good.
The i5-6600 would be about 8% faster but would be slightly above budget.
With a different mobo you could reuse your old RAM though so it would be possible.
Since you've never overclocked before and frankly just don't need even better performance than this, I don't think it'd be worth the premium.
I wasn't waiting for you, don't worry, I'm not trapped in this thread until all questions have been answered.
If I got these parts would I be able to stream as well?
Setsul#1559
New? Absolutely not. They've all been out of production since 4 or 5 years.
Used? Maybe. But it won't be much faster. 20% at best. You could overclock but it's still nowhere near what you'd get with a new CPU + mobo.
It's probably hard to find any anyway. Anyone who upgrades regularly already got rid of them and those who keep their cpus until they die still have many years to go.
Ah okay. What CPU + Mobo would you recommend, and what else should I upgrade? I'm also willing to increase the budget if $400 is not enough. Sorry for the wait.
I'm willing to overclock, although I've never done it before. Is it possible for me to just get a new CPU for the current setup I have now?
Setsul#1551
400$ budget including or excluding the monitor?
Excluding.
Setsul#1548
Budget?
What are you going to use it for? / Why are you upgrading? As in in what program/game are you trying to get better performance?
$400, although I'm fine for going over as I want the best CPU for my current setup right now. I mostly play TF2 however, and I also want to get a 144hz monitor along with this.
Hi, I'm planning on upgrading the CPU for my prebuilt but I'm not entirely sure on which one works for my computer. What CPU should I get?
