Another one, apologies for the delays. I'm toying and looking in to the possibility of doing some videos as well to complement some of my articles.

As a professional demo man that excels in the art of jumping as demoman (I can get to badlands mid at 9:42/43 solid) I'd say the best interp to select is:
o
Read my blog...
Add me and send me some demos, I can do some mentoring for you, I don't think I will have the time to do go over your demos with you etc. but I can still go through them to point out obvious mistakes or things that can be improved.
New post on positioning:

Again, keep leaving feedback.
Here's an essay (forgot to write one)
I have a Nexus 5, got it 2 days after release from Google, I have the 32GB version in black, I've had looaaads of phones (HTC One, Xperia Z, Samsung S3) and many more for a few weeks to test. By far this is the most responsive phone I've used without having to fuck around with the software...
The price for this handset is dirt cheap when you compare it to other top range handsets it's a steal, LG G2, S4's, Z1's, iPhone 5S etc. They all retail around £500 off contract (You can get it cheaper from other retailers but you can get fucked if the phone breaks etc.) With a Nexus 5 you get a phone that is equal or better specs (excluding camera).
So,
Pros:
- Look pretty awesome
- Amazing screen
- Good quality build
- "stock" android and you will get the latest android updates, you won't get any bloatware that comes with the other phones, no duplicate apps and shit, just standard stuff.
- It runs fucking quick, so far I haven't had any crashes or lag issues at all, on other handsets like the S4 & HTC One they have stuttered a little bit. (using ART which I'll get on to later)
Cons:
- Camera is ok but not brilliant
- Battery life is poor, for me it's no problem but I can see it being an issue for others
- I can't use it in the bath.
A good touch is the whole Google Now shit, they are updating it more and more so now it shows news updates for the websites I visit (etf2l, teamfortress.tv, overclockers etc.) and will show live scores of football teams I follow and stuff.
Out of all the phones I've had this is the best one by far, but it's really carried by the fucking price, if it was the same price as the other phones you'd probably select one of the others as some have removable batteries (S4) or Micro SD card slots (S4, G2, Z1). But because it's almost half the price it's so worth it as you get a fucking awesomely quick phone for it.
One of the other things that make it awesome is ART, basically apps take longer to install and use more memory, but it is so much quicker, switching between apps are seamless and battery life has improved also. This feature is coming to all phones that will run 4.4 so any lag issues I mentioned with other phones will probably be resolved as long as they implement their own updates well.
flynn__I just bought a Nexus 5, it ships on Dec 11th. Really don't want it though, I impulse bought it and didn't see how awful the case options are (I need a waterproof case). Too late to cancel so I'm gonna RMA it as soon as it arrives and get something else.
If you want a waterproof case/phone you should look at a Z1, decent phone, quite expensive though with a IP57/8?! rating. other than that you will have to do a search of cases for certain phones (otterbox do water resistant cases but only for popular models phones), the Moto X + G are splash proof as atmo said, but manufacturer splash proof is like you can spit on it and it will be fine. The nexus 5 will unlikely get a water resistant case as they are only on sale for a year and they aren't heavily marketed so case makers don't really look into making them.
tl;dr
nexus 5 is fucking cheap and good.
HildrethI watched segments of Byte's stream, I am surprised tbh to see TSE won, he didn't have a single sentence the time I watched without swearing.
Our scouts do some pretty hilariously bad shit every so often, I don't agree with the way he will go about trying to correct these mistakes though. If you have to repeat an instruction to someone 5x and they just ignore you I'm sure everyone will find it frustrating.
Byte just gets very tense in matches and it really shows through sometimes, if he hadn't of been so tense I feel we could have won a bit more comfortably sometimes, but who knows.
I find it funny anyway, it's just a game.
AND FUCK YEAH WE GOT THIRD, ALL DAT ESPORTS MONEY!
bassheadwar's stream was the best, byte was very entertaining, I recommend the vod on his twitch
was enjoyable for all involved
I've just finished a 5 hour train journey, my body is ready...I think.
numlockedI disagree with balcony being the less favourable route. you're less vulnerable, more options for places to go if you get jumped, and you can still reach everywhere you can from train except for balcony but why you'd want to focus so much spam on the enemy demoman I don't know.
I find it as a more passive option, when you go balcony you are in a position where you cannot follow up that well and your team will rely on good team work with the soldiers and the scouts, it can be effective in a organised team but if your team is disorganised you can just find yourself with the enemy pushing over your team quickly.
I also focused on the normal route more because this method can transfer to other maps like gullywash and viaduct but I forgot to mention that part.
DuckyReally loved your writing style and although I don't main demo it was still very informative!
What I would recommend you doing is turning this into a YouTube series to reach a wider audience, maybe flying around the map with noclip with Byte's drawing tool to help demonstrate your point.
Read my earlier reply, I'd love to but it would take longer to produce as I've never done it before, and I feel a lot more comfortable explaining something in writing.
Aww yeah.
Second post is up which I'm looking at badlands middle: http://warhuryeah.wordpress.com/2013/11/20/badlands-middle-control/
I've gone for something different and is more team orientated situation but from a demoman POV, again if you have any suggestions or if you have something you'd like me to write about, let me know.

HildrethWARHURYEAHThe good thing with ESEA is that there was a zero tolerance rule in some areas, with ETF2L all the admins just seem scared to make a decision (Nations cup final, Sweden get ddos, Germans take default, admins do nothing to reschedule game)
What are you on about? Not making a decision to reschedule the game is as tough a decision to make as rescheduling the game. I can't really say whether or not it was the CORRECT decision without the details but every choice made it for a good reason, a game like Sweden v Germany would have had a long in depth discussion involving the decision.
ESEA's zero tolerance policy is part of the reason why:
1) One of the best teams in NA Invite dropped from the league.
2) Why some European teams have dropped.
Zero tolerance for particular rules is necessary, but common sense needs to apply. For example why do you think we have warnings in ETF2L? To keep teams in check and on schedule but if a team cannot remain on schedule they have a safety blanket of a Wildcard and at worst, they will get a minor warning (accumulate 3 per season and you lose a point). If ESEA had run something similiar, Watch This would still be in Invite.
Allowing a team to take a default win in a very big match to me is stupid, an admin could have just said "reschedule this, take extra precautions" but no, everyone showed up to watch a game with Sweden vs. Germany and we got fuck all, on top of that we had the giant swe vs. ger fallout without any admin support. I'm not praising the ESEA way in zero tolerance 100% but it areas it is very good, match scheduling in ETF2L is a giant pain in the fucking arse because team can just fuck up schedules with retarded Wildcard usage, I'm not saying it's good in all areas but ETF2L really needs to adopt a more strict policy that actually benefits team making the effort.
