improvement is mostly about how you practice and your mental attitude
having good mental is less about never getting frustrated (although you should try to be frustrated less) and more about moving past mistakes in the moment and then hammering down on them later during review when you have a clear mind
also drop any ego if you have it
all that being said if the game is just pissing you off then its not worth playing, and grinding/improving isnt worth hurting your mental health

ive used magenta dot as long as i remember but literally anything that isnt comically mis-sized or a color that blends in with maps theyll all function more or less the same

you wont catch me biking if im going 10 miles in the rain for instance
plus using a bike ride, train ride, and walk all in the same journey usually ends up being the easiest route
