I'm not a Flyers fan or anything (well I'm cheering for them over the Caps), but I feel the same way. The tribute is going to make a huge impact, and I don't see any way the Flyers should lose tonight. 3-1 seems pretty accurate everything considered.
The other matchups are thankfully falling mostly into place. Florida is not going to do anything once Reilly Smith stops carrying the hell out of them, the Kings are giving the Sharks mercy rounds before making a big comeback in the series like what happens every year, Detroit is keeping things real in Tampa, Dallas is showing Minnesota their place, Pittsburgh is being the better team despite the king doing some good work (the series is pretty solid), and the STL vs CHI series is as expected an incredible fight where the winner should be the favourites to win the cup. I did not expect Nashville to come out swinging against the Ducks, though, but I do think they'll make a comeback and make the series interesting.
PellovleyYipyapperEDIT: I looked back at my logs for a long while, you probably interacted with one of many people who use my alias in lobbies as a troll (angryofficer, sometimes pellovley, etc come to mind). I didn't find any logs of us playing together :/
i didnt do this nor would i ever do anything remotely similar to it, dont pin this shit on me
i'm saying you alias as me sometimes
dolanthederpyduckmy iron team that is pretty much new to 6s and tf2 in general 6 stacked a lobby and yipyapper played on the other team along with a few others(cant remember exactly who they were) and called us shit as well as telling us we should quit tf2. like why did u do that we said nothing wrong to u guys.
I honestly have no idea what you're referring to. Sometimes I can get kind of goofy with friends in lobbies (I rarely play lobbies anymore) because we try and have fun, but I wouldn't just flat out call a bunch of people bad like that. I'd love to actually see the chatlog because if I did this, then I'm sorry and I really want to know the context in which I did such a thing :/
I really do try and be nice most of the time, but lobbies are so dumb that things sometimes get slightly dumb. Never bad enough that I'd do that though.

wait, the raptors actually followed through with being relevant? I don't watch much basketball but two years ago I followed them a little and was surprised to see them make a splash, when I was younger they were so irrelevant that instead of following how poorly they did and laughing at them a la toronto maple leafs or blue jays (the latter has gained relevancy thankfully), no one ever mentioned them. I think I once saw a basketball when i was on my school's team that had the raptors logo on it but nothing else
toronto (edit: ALL CANADIAN) sports teams haven't been very kind to canadians in the past, thankfully 2 out of 3 are finally getting work done
bump, would love some IM tryouts. I promise I won't disappoint!
any time I watched him in 6s he had FAT rockets, but the thing that caught me off-guard was when he tried out hl soldier recently—he just whipped everyone into and out of a fight and saved people from bad situations, everything he did (and everything he said) was to help the team and get everyone to play better
I know it's hl and this might all sound weird but the point is I've never seen someone that motivated to just help his team to win right out of the gate selflessly, it blew me away. honestly since it was hl that makes it even more crazy
also nice guy
he pounds at both classes and is super chill. would recommend for any team if it wasn't for the fact that he's secretly a furry (not a weeb for his anime since he's japanese, he gets a bye)
very good players, was my favourite team to cheer for and a chill scrim partner for the decent dudes
go snails!
SpaceCadetWhat an awesome first game Blues vs Blackhawks. St. Louis seemed so much faster and crisp in OT, you could feel a goal was coming. Chicago was just trying to survive and got a bad bounce. Should be an insane series.
On another note, the Rangers have almost no chance if Lundqvist is out for the series.
Agreed to both of those statements. Even though the Hawks had a lot more shots on goal in that OT and the game in general, the play between them was either pretty even or slightly in the Blues' favour. Elliott was, as I figured, going ham though. It's really weird to say 0-0 games are exciting, but this one was pretty awesome.
before I say anything else, gotta say how insane Ovie is for getting a hat trick in his last game to break 50 yet again, dude's so good and I love how he's changed himself over the years to become a better person and player
That being said, playoffs are for the most part a blah to me. Anyone who knows me knows I'm a huge hockey fan, but no Canadians really blows. When the only relevant team is a team that can't do anything without the best player on the planet, then you know the nation's got no hope :[
I've always been a low-key fan of the Blues, though, and I really hope they can do something this season. It sucks to play in the best division in hockey (by a very long shot), and I'm not too confident they'll beat Chicago since they always turn up for playoffs, but I'm hoping for the best. I'm thinking:
- Isles in 6. Florida won the series and the division, but Jagr's experience in playoffs alone won't help against the talent on NYI.
- Lightning in 7. Detroit is super resilient in playoffs, but Tampa has a ton of really good recent experience. Detroit will never have an uninteresting series in playoffs, and are without a doubt the #1 team every year for possible upsets.
- Capitals in 7. Caps definitely look better than they are what with winning the president's trophy (slumping lately), but they're still fantastic. Flyers somehow just show up in playoffs regardless of their season, though, so anything could happen.
- Penguins in 5. NYR are good, but Pittsburgh hit their stride later in the season (like 14 of the last 16 or something) and they should do a ton of work against New York. World class talent helps a ton in a best of 7.
- Kings in 4. San Jose never shows up in playoffs. Ever.
- Ducks in 5. Ducks, like the Penguins (BIRDS) showed up in the latter part of the season, but the Ducks did it for a lot longer. Their momentum should stomp on a mediocre Nashville team.
- Blackhawks in 6. I really want the Blues to finally win their long-deserving first cup, but the Blackhawks just never show up weak in playoffs and the Blues' goaltenders don't usually go ham. Elliott is the most underrated player I've ever seen, but he's never put in for a full series. Tarasenko will still be the second best player on the ice next to Kane, though.
- Stars in 4. Minnesota did well last season in the playoffs, but that was to a mediocre playoff Blues team. Dallas' offense is unstoppable vs a balanced team like Minnesota.
sorry I just love hockey so so much
EDIT: by the way I'm a habs fan, hope that doesn't render anything I've said invalid :(
despite a reputation as a dm mongoloid, he does a lot of work with the focused pocket role he has and is a pretty good caller alongside being a solid pocket. it might take a little while for a team to get used to him, but once they do, things will go really smoothly and you'll get to know MATTHEW DELISI as a really cool guy and a good friend.
