This is a tragedy and it needs to stop, I'm not trying to undermine it by saying 'not all Muslims' but it does bear repeating that Isis is not related to Islam at all.
This militant group is set out to pillage, destroy, and wreck peoples lives. Just a few weeks ago in the last day of the holy month of Ramadan in the heart of one of the most sacred cities Isis bombed the place, 4 officers were killed and 5 injured and the only reason it wasn't more is because the bomber hugged the officer as he exploded making it less catastrophic.
I'm not equating this to what happened in Paris recently at all (Paris is by far a bigger tragedy) but I'm just giving you a slight example of how Isis doesn't fucking care who they target as long as it fits their own twisted sick version of 'Islam'
if I were to equate them to someone i would say they are closer to Hitler. Hitler had his own version of Christianity, his own ideal of whats 'right' and whats 'wrong' and he ruined millions of peoples lives, does that mean his Christianity was fucking right? no because it wasn't Christianity, being a christian doesn't involve killing millions and torturing, and slaughtering, now does it.
just because a group that just wears the name of Islam and shouts Allah Akbar (i lol'd when scissors gave me the example that anyone who yells Allah Akbar and calls the police to tell them they r Muslim means that they are indubitably without a doubt Muslim) doesn't mean they are Muslim, they have their own idea of what Islam is and they are trying to force it on everybody but it doesn't mean its actually Islam , it kinda like saying oh every person Ive ever heard of that is named JIM was an asshole therefor every person named JIM is an asshole.
tell me this do you guys even know what jihad means outside of American media? The Arabic word "jihad" is often translated as "holy war," but in actuality, the word " jihad" means struggling or striving.
when a true Muslim is in jihad they are not, cleaving their fellow humans head off and raping women and children. these are assholes that defile Islams meaning. also Islam does not at all promote the killing of ANYONE regardless of religion if they are Sunni, shia, christian, Jew. Calling them Muslim is an insult on anyone that IS Muslim
All the tragedies and killings that are happening are absolutely sickening, my heart goes out to all the families that have felt loss because of terror attack, but to effectively stop terrorism completely we have to stop looking at it through such a narrow lens.
