#9 Ingame Insults in TF2 General Discussion

I didn't understand it at the time because it only really makes sense in an english accent, but it was "kermit suicide".

I really enjoyed the movie overall. I felt the script was a little poor at times/heavy handed, mainly how han and leia kept saying "our son" even though they both quite obviously knew who they would mean if they said "him". Incredibly nitpicky of me but w/e. I don't know why but I feel like they really downplayed Han's death and made it not seem like as big a deal as it should have been made out to be. Like Chewie literally just lost his best friend and Leia lost the father of her son, and all they did was a couple tears and a hug then it's back on the road. I really enjoyed the fact that Kylo actually showed his anger and took it out on shit with his lightsaber though. It's what I think Anakin would have done had he turned earlier/not been with Obi Wan so much, it felt like Kylo's character was a lot more like a young Anakin that Kylo really knew.

The casting was also on point as well, I really loved the casting of Finn and Rey, they seemed pretty much perfect from the start. With Kylo though it took me a few minutes after seeing him properly I genuinely liked him, they didn't give him any deformities/scars or w/e to alienate or dehumanize him. He just looks like a young guy that's in over his head. I think the fact that he is just a normal looking person will annoy people, they would have been expecting some sort of monster under the mask.

My two cents.

#275 TF2 benchmarks in TF2 General Discussion

Just did a couple of tests post update got 220 fps on dxlevel 81, got 183 on dxlevel 90. No real change to my fps though since I last did a benchmark a week or so ago.

#2251 Not 100% sure but isn't it just the scrollbar stuff in sourcescheme?

ScrollBarButton.FgColor
ScrollBarButton.BgColor

and so on.

#7 DeathMatch plugin welp? in Q/A Help
namassinSideshowI spoke to him about that at i52 (!!!) and he said it's super easy to fix for anybody, you just plug some new co-ordinates into some file. I'm too stupid to do it though, but it doesn't require Lange himself.
Ah, alright- I guess a mapmaker would be someone to contact.

It's honestly super intuitive to do, we did it to fix the badlands spawns in dm. You just go on your own server, wait till you get the broken spawn, get the co-ordinates of it and find them in the file that contains the spawns and remove/change.

Unless I'm 100% wrong as I don't play mge.

You're probably hitting the malfunction speed, it happened to me so much with my fk that I just got a new mouse.

GarbsIs it possible to change the default location and size of the console? I've looked everywhere I can think of

Nah don't think it is, I had a look for it myself ages ago and couldn't find shit. My guess would be you'd have to look through the hl2 hud files/sourcescheme for it, that's just a guess so it's probs bs.

#260 TF2 benchmarks in TF2 General Discussion
Pendji
2639 frames 16.531 seconds 159.64 fps ( 6.26 ms/f) 14.951 fps variability

CPU: Intel Core i5 3570K @ 3.40GHz
Graphics Card: 2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770

Driver version: 347.52
dxlevel (default is 90): 81
Resolution: 1920x1080
Full-screen or windowed: Full
FPS configs enabled: Comanglia's Config (Looks prettier than Chris'? Don't know if it does anything in terms of fps)
Shadows enabled/disabled: disabled

Bar none knowledge on hardware, but I'd assume a better CPU is the next milestone. Ever since I was told that playing a Gameboy with audio on drained the battery faster, I've minimized everything possible. I'm sure I'm somewhat reliably at 120 fps @ 120hz but doesn't really feel like it. If dx9 is the new default, I'm screwed till I get better parts I'm guessing.

I'm running two monitors but thats as far as I go in terms of graphical luxury.

Just look into overclocking, you've got a CPU that's decent enough to go up over 4ghz that ought to get you some extra frames.

#107 How did you guys got introduced to comp tf2? in TF2 General Discussion
botmodeDontA guy in a pub had a "comp.tf" tag on their name. It sounded interesting, so I visited the site.wait...this actually works?

I wore it in pubs for a month or two and I got a bunch of people saying they would check it out. I think two of them added me and at least one still actively plays in etf2l.

#72 How did you guys got introduced to comp tf2? in TF2 General Discussion

A childhood friend had just won div 3 in etf2l and wanted some irl friends to get involved, so about 5 of us got the game and tried it out in mostly pubs. A couple of us got thrown in at the deep end with about 30 hours in the game each to a div 3 mix, they all hated getting shouted at for not knowing calls on badlands and pretty much never played again. I got hooked and here I am almost 4 years later.

#919 PC Build Thread in Hardware
spHey, I'll be buying parts for a new PC within a couple days, and I have a £1050 budget.

http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/Yx8PZL - This is what I'm planning on getting. Any advice would be hugely appreciated, and I'm also still unsure as to go for a DDR3 setup with an i5-4690K or use the DDR4 build in the link. At this current point in time, is it worth spending more for skylake or to purchase better parts with a haswell build?

Thanks in advance.

Well like most other people that post in this thread asking for advice, you haven't said a single thing about what you want to do with your pc and what performance you want from it. Like do you want to be able to stream tf2 at 720 60fps and still have good fps in game, or stream at 540 30fps and have ok performance still. AAA games with ultra graphics and at least 60fps? We need something to go on here.
