the review i read said it was basically a longer, slimmer DA 2013, with large side buttons.

2013 deathadder does have smoothing. Both have smoothing. Basically they code for the highest dpi possible on the mouse and then they use that same code for everything below it, so all dpi settings suffer from the latency created by making code to make insanely high dpi optical mice.
Best case scenario would be they do something like they did with prediction in the past, where they introduced firmware updates to get rid of prediction for shooter players. They could introduce a firmware update that either lowers the max dpi, or makes it work worse at higher dpi in order to prevent latency at lower dpi, and then the only people that would install that firmware update are the people that don't care about high dpi, so the people that think high dpi is good would get high dpi mice that work as good as possible at those high dpi, and those that know better would update the firmware and get improved latency/ no smoothing.
yeah, don't know what he is waiting for. I got onto top10 with my very first comp match of tf2 ever. This fool has been through two seasons and have zero top10 clips to show for it. Someone for the love of God pick him up so he has a chance to restore his honor.
