#79 The State of ESEA-Invite (a nerd essay) in TF2 General Discussion
WalrexAlso, lets not try and block out the voices and opinions of people who haven't played invite. Just because you played invite doesn't imply that you have a perfect understanding of the game, and not playing invite doesn't imply you're an idiot. Being dismissive isn't going to help anyone learn anything.

No, the point was people can't understand how those teams play and how much they put in the game if they never played against them constantly for a season. Obviously there's top IM teams who scrim invite teams all the time and stuff, but I wouldn't expect a bottom open player to know anything about the depth of an invite's team practice and habits. It's just not something it should even be talked about at all, it's the same shit as when you're that fan with a beer belly at a football game but "you know better" than the Superbowl finalists. It's just really dumb to even think about it.

Also if you're a player outside of invite and you give ascent or any playoff team shit for "not trying hard enough" and "they don't care" you have absolutely 0 clue what you're talking about. I, for one as an avid pugchamp pugger, seen every ascent player grind pugs/scrims/DM like every single day so just putting down their efforts because they lost to a better team is just a shitty thing to do.

Basically, if lesser players/teams know better than the top 4, invite should be poppin' right now with talent and the player pool should be insane next season. That or people are just talking shit for the sake of talking shit, as always in this community. Then people wonder why top players quit, shit is actually demoralizing to hear. Just think at how people on froyo got to where they got, they were also on the "not trying hard enough teams" before and now they dominate. And if you refer to my earlier post, look at what froyo did: kept their core for YEARS so ofc they will be amazing teammates.

#25 The State of ESEA-Invite (a nerd essay) in TF2 General Discussion

As one of the ONLINE Froyo slayers of 2014 on eLevate I can confirm that having a team stick together (or core players) for more than a year and a half does wonders to improving as a team. We went from 3rd and 4th place in our first 2 seasons to 16-0 the season afterwards b/c we stuck together and then poached cozen basically. Idk what rosters you guys are making rn but make sure the froyo slayer team has marmaloo on it.

U guys can do it gl

Not that most people know but, I moved to NA when I was 15 years old. In the first 30 min of playing TF2 here I get called a vampire/russian/gypsy/3rd worlder, etc. For more than half a decade those things continue to get talked about on forums/circlejerks and people encourage it like it's normal (well also given I shitposted a lot on here too). Like I understand if you hate me for me posting "fuck fundraisers" or "dead game" but holy shit what goes through your head to literally attack a person's accent out of all things or their nationality?? Let me guess, it makes it ok to attack those things if you hate that person b/c they a) disagree with your view on the game or b) your fav streamer hates them.

W/e, hope one day you people can focus on someone's skill level and gameplay rather than how they sound/look like or where the fuck they live.

Edit: As for the main topic of discussion in this thread, how do you guys literally hate on a person that pays out of their own pocket to help with production/marketing of this game?

#4 Damage numbers w/ outline in Customization
collyhttp://www.teamfortress.tv/19073/hud-editing-short-questions-quick-answers

you look for the name of the font in huddamageaccount then you go into clientscheme to find the entry with that name and then add "outline" "1" in the entry and if that font is already in use for other things you can make a new entry with a new name like huddamgenumbersoutline or something and change the font name in huddamgeaccount to whatever your new entry is

thanks man

How can I get damage numbers with outlines like this in my TF2? Or if someone can point me to the right thread I can find that

#48 Can someone explain the benefits of playing ESEA? in TF2 General Discussion

ESEA was always the best place to compete in 6v6 in NA, not sure if that changed the past 2 years. LAN used to be really nice but they took that away so not sure what sets that league apart from others besides structure and prestige. All I know is that my boy Tri is the best TF2 admin in existence over any leagues so that by itself is why you should play ESEA.

#1 In-house pug groups? in TF2 General Discussion

Where can I find inhouse pug groups so that I can stop playing FaceIT or whatever pugs and have everyone getting triggered? I just want to help out my duo to learn TF2, I was told to ask here for inhouse pugs.

Genuine question, please add me if we can join and play.
