#17 Newbie Mixes cont? in TF2 General Discussion
DNCI used to help out with Newbie Mixes when Noona was in charge. I can't say much as far as my coaching goes since I don't meet your requirements, but I'd be more than happy to get people in the right mumble channels and servers and try to help out with that side of things.

The requirements right now aren't set in stone, in fact we've already talked about it and changed the wording since Tino_'s post. Expect a more formal opening in a week or two after pie_hero and the gang gets together forreal for a few hours and works details out.

#42 I just cant play games anymore. in Off Topic

you need to be interested in the story of singleplayer games to enjoy them

I literally only play (mostly competitive) FPSs, but when a singleplayer game's story is interesting as fuck I'll play it. games I've played other than TF2 because I got hooked on them: Bastion, Half-Life 2, Black Mesa, Skyrim, Fallout NV, and Star Wars: KoTOR.

#8 Dangerous Dave's Dangerous Dudes LF Mid-O Demoman in Recruitment (looking for players)

rj is a good player who's improving quickly. he has a few issues with his play but so does everybody. the thing about rj though is he works to improve his play all the time, something thats going to work out really well for him and his team.

#22 sky_ lft high open pocket s17 in Recruitment (looking for team)

simply put, she's amazing. i played with her a few seasons and every single season she has impressed me with his improvement. i can't say there's a better guy i'd want to be on a team with.

also, girl gamer! lord knows the game needs more cuties. definitely recommend him.

#36 Evaluating good play from stats/logs in TF2 General Discussion
MiNiA neat stat woud be uber forces by a player, but I can't think of how you could measure if a player forced him or not.

you could record the last player(s) to damage the medic before he pops

although this would skew the results for the pocket, because when he pushes he'll damage the enemy medic to initiate an uber exchange which doesn't really count as a force

#22 ESEA Vs CEVO in TF2 General Discussion
miwoAloSecso the thing about the awkward transition season that we're ending soon is that the community is split. its pretty obvious as you said. it makes the game feel smaller. its pretty shitty.

but next season, I think one league will die and another will thrive. and that all depends on how well cevo fixes their BS. currently, I think esea is the superior league due to the incredible scheduling & client. but if cevo fixes their backwards ass scheduling and makes their client actually prevent people from letting non-rostered players play in their games, it could be the premier league in no time. especially if they put together a real lan, I would see no reason to stick with esea.

once people are back on one league again, things will return to normal.
if cevo does everything esea is currently doing they will be a great league

basically, yeah

the reason I think so is because esea has a great foundation, but bad administration and bad response to community feedback leads to a pretty shitty player experience in the long run. I like cevo more currently because of the incredible admin responsiveness, and the actual progress in the changes to their league.

edit: cevo can be what esea should have been through actual improvement (instead of promised improvement) to their league.

slipzOr this might be a crazy idea, why not learn to scrim two maps during the week. It isn't that hard to say, he lets play this map one time and then lets play the other map. I don't understand why this is such a hard thing to do with tf2 scrims.

there are many teams only playing esea and other teams only playing cevo. these teams don't want to scrim on a map that's not the map of the week for this league, so they won't play each other.
