Shneakyfrom memory, I think you need aero enabled or desktop windows manager (dwm.exe) for your browser to register above 60hz on those website. try testing that.

didnt do anything

CommonPlebare you using the cable that came with the monitor? It needs a dual link dvi cable to put out 144hz.

Bucake"The only reason that would happen is if the monitor is connected to a single-link DVI port. If your video card has two DVI ports, try the other port."

found this reply via google.
if you have a card with two slots, try the other one.

already done this, it had no effect

Karltry a few different browsers?

used internet explorer and it still says 60 :/

Bucakeusing only that vg248qe, or multiple monitors?
i've had the 'issue' in the past where my vg248qe got locked to 60hz as soon as i plugged in a second monitor that was running at 60.

only using one monitor

Karltry dropping the monitor settings to 120hz and or 60hz and testing it and then visually seeing if there is a difference in game.

I can for sure notice the difference on my desktop. the website still says im valid for 60 hz at 120 hz and below. avast also linked me another website and it shows me the same thing

Bucakeare you using HDMI by any chance?

im using DVI

VariIf you right click on your desktop>go to screen resolution>click on advanced settings and then click on the monitor tab of advanced settings are you sure it says 144hz?

sorry i know thats a pretty dumb question to ask, but i'm just making sure.

yes and im p sure the website isnt capped at 60 fps

#1 ASUS vg248qe 144 hz problem in Hardware

recently I went on testufo.com and it showed that my monitor is at 60 hz (http://imgur.com/Suj54gw) even though in my display settings and nvidia control panel it clearly says its set to 144 hz. I've asked my teammates and friends who have the same monitor to use the site and it all says they are at 120 and above.

my drivers are all updated and my video card is a nvidia geforce gtx 680.

does anyone know what to do about this?

Second, the admin that we had to complain to about these issues was tsc, a b4nny stream viewer/sub/ and moderator, who was clearly catering to froyotech when we brought up the issue.

theres ur problem right there
