A 21" Trinitron/Diamondtron CRT costs about $40 and should do 120 Hz at 1280x1024. Has a bonus side-effect of heating your room.

Steam takes forever to start on boot

I have Steam set to open on Windows startup, but it takes five minutes to do so... I can see it hanging in the Task Manager but it doesn't do anything. Often I have to force close the process in TM then start it again myself.
Anybody encountered this and have a solution?

not happy with the alignment of the ESEA star, will fix it in a bit (the url will be the same so it will update without you having to change anything)
edit2: tried to centre the star best I could, had to do it by eye since it's so asymmetrically weighted visually

EDIT: no longer working on new twitch page layout as HTML has been replaced with markdown (yuck). clicking "Go back to the old one." at the top will show old page layout if you still want to see these.

KillertomatoTo anyone using OBS: Is your ping higher when using OBS vs xsplit? For me its about 20 more with the same settings and even lower. Thats why I made the post about tcp relay on their forums.

hookyIf you're having latency problemsTry turning down the "send buffer" size in the advanced settings, and see if that doesn't have an effect on your ping. Try 8196, or if you have the latest daily build, 4096.
This worked for me. My scoreboard ping now hovers around 40 like it usually does.
