Re4litySucks that this is Na only .
I have word that there is something similar in the works for EU through another organizer so keep your eyes out for that. Of course EU teams and players are more than welcome to sign up for these NA cups as well.

TsarbucksWait, what? Why not granary_pro? Do the servers not like custom maps?
I'm not actually sure which version of granary it is. The map list says just cp_granary, but I believe it also said that during the Opening Tournament and that connected us to granary_pro.
Awesome opportunity for new casting talent to get their names out there! Thank you saam for making this happen.
SpaceCadetCurious as to why no Viaduct?
It wasn't an option in the map list I had available. Last I heard they are still working on the scoring system in their match mod. Regardless, this cup will likely have a lot of pug teams and I don't think viaduct is a very popular pug map.
TsarbucksWicked. Can we get double elim tournaments in the future, though?
I hope so. For this first tournament my options were fairly limited and I wanted to make it resolve in as quick a timeframe as possible. What may end up happening is that these weekly tournaments would be run in this single elimination format while the double elimination format would be reserved for larger scale tournaments such as the TFTV/FACEIT Opening Tournament.

Over the next few weeks, I am planning to run a series of weekly cups on the FACEIT platform with this being the first run through. FACEIT have been actively seeking out tournament organizers in the community who can create content on their platform, including myself and a few others who may be creating similar tournaments in the near future. The point of this whole endeavor is to further test/improve the FACEIT platform, to prove the TF2 competitive scene’s interest in their services, to help secure future involvement from FACEIT in our scene, and to give you a consistent place to compete every week with your friends/teams. Simply put, by helping to make these weeklies a success you’d be doing your part to help strengthen the competitive TF2 scene, and win prizes while doing so.
If you have any questions or feedback please let me know!
Hypothetically though if stickers of some sort were added to TF2 it would certainly help to improve team stability and add some extra prestige and desirability to being at the top level of competitive TF2, which hasn't really been the same since ESEA LAN died. From what I've heard each individual on the teams with stickers easily earn $20k in sticker sales alone each event. That's certainly some incentive to stick it out on even a dead last place team at their majors.
Things are finally coming together as we promised they would so thank you all for your patience. It's gonna be huge.
Froyotech and Circa Esports have both been confirmed for the invite bracket! Don't miss your chance to witness broKING farming live in person.
At least 4 more invite teams will be announced as soon as we can. Other huge announcements coming soon... (Book your flights now!)
We've got an exciting update for you regarding the casting side of things. Some of your favorite casters and personalities from the community including Truktruk, MRSLIN, Bren, kaidus, Getawhale, and eXtine have confirmed their attendance to the LAN to help us put on a great show. We're thrilled to have them on board and we hope to see you all there!
More announcements regarding registration, invite team attendance, sponsorships/prize pool and hotel deals will be coming soon. We appreciate your patience in this process.
I've been experiencing the same thing in NA matches where one team has all the highest level players and the other has all the lowest level players. Here's a match room for an example of one of the most egregiously imbalanced matches: https://www.faceit.com/en/tf2/room/5a0f12e2-8e11-4057-bf07-9d94df31d84a
This should be priority #1 to fix right now.
You can still run an experimental 6v6 tournament that would yield much more productive results. For example, I would have loved to see this as a 6v6 with global whitelist plus quick fix (which hasn't been tested in serious 6v6 games since it has been nerfed). The only way to get those kinds of things tested properly is by giving teams incentive to win. Whatever is "learned" about the 7v7 mess of rules that this tournament runs will be forgotten by Monday because no one will ever repeat this format again.
Mumanow b4nny can win b4nny lan :D
yay b4nny!
Now? I cut you months ago.
ShdSteelFixed the link, I was awake too early when I made it. Please post if you are attending here:

Thank you.
Thanks for making this. I've added it to the main post. Everyone should post in there if you are planning to go, especially if you are LFT.
samifaceFor LAX, b4nny recommended using this service: http://shuttletolax.com/
For a single rider from LAX this is what I've always used. They are shared ride vans so they will not be a direct route, but it costs $45 for a round trip, which is pretty much the best rate I've been able to find.
Stay tuned for some more big announcements very soon!
DreamboatTftv Disneyland trip after the LAN!
I was going to ask if anyone was interested in doing this. I'm always down.
