ApexI think this post on reddit can help you with installing windows via USB if that is your only option. http://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc/comments/xd44g I would advise installing via USB because the installation process goes much much faster especially with USB 3.0 ports because of the increased read/write times
I think although via DVD it'll be slower, it's also just more... easier, and reliable, especially since I do not know how to do it via USB.
Well thanks for your help, all. One other question though:
My DVD old DVD ROM from my old computer is apparently made in 2006, I checked. Will there be any problem?

reillyAssuming there is a place for you to plug your old DVD drive into the motherboard, then it will work.
If not, then don't feel bad torrenting a copy of Windows if you already payed for it, and just install it via USB yourself.
i'll look into the usb way, but i'd prefer doing it via dvd drive
edit: also, can you clarify that it is doing that black screen because if windows isn't installed?
Even though my new PC just came in, I used to pull 30-100 fps using max frames, 680x480 res setting.
I just find it annoying how arrogant you're being "my pc is p bad".
You're PC isn't bad at all..
So, today my new PC arrived (an ncix computer which they charge $30 for building it). I ordered it without a DVD ROM because I was way over my budget. Assuming they'd install Windows 7 via USB, I'm thinking they haven't. Because when I try to turn the PC on it comes up on a black screen saying:
reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key.
I'm guessing that's because it has no Windows installed. I do however have the disc of Windows 7. I could possibly use my old DVD ROM from my old PC, to my new one. But I checked, and it seems my DVD ROM was made on 06. I'm just wondering if it's too old to use. And if anyone knows how to fix the "reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key". Problem.
