based off of your posts here, i think you and your friends should try out 4v4 PASS Time
it's a competitive gamemode that highlights skill-based movement and team coordination, but isn't as intense as 6s/HL. the environment is more relaxed and comms are less frequent since maps are extremely small and the gamemode has a built in "wallhack" at the bottom showing you where players generally are. there's pressure, but it's a lot more manageable compared to other competitive environments i've been in
personally, as a medic main, i struggled with enjoying 6s pugs due to playing at a lower level (Intermediate) as well as just being in the Medic role, which i enjoyed the most at the time. 4v4 PASS Time allowed me to express my skill in a more relaxed (but still competitive) environment in a different way

i'd say for you it's at least worth a shot. we play pugs nearly every night in the discord, or if you have 7 friends who are down to try it out, just go on serveme and use the config "pt_pug" and play on maps like "pass_arena2", "pass_stadium", "pass_stonework", or "pass_smallosseum"

Regarding 6s:
If you're getting back into the game, a good spot to play is probably TF2CC as they run pugs multiple times daily for every skill group up to IM/Main. If you're beyond that, probably PugHub is a good spot.

Regarding HL:
RGL's official server runs pugs. There's also the RGL pugs website, which seems to be decently active.
There's also "Pugs that are Cozy and Comfy" which runs all the time.
Other than that, I'm not too knowledgeable since I don't really play HL.

Regarding 6s or HL:
https://tf2pugs.com/ is also a good option, but those don't have any league-based verification so you could be playing with a bunch of total shitters.

I'm not asking them to rewind time to make sure I get a quality sticker. I'm cool if the stickers are fucked up and I have to return it; sometimes bad shit happens. I only gave details on the product quality so readers could understand why I think they should unlist the stickers. From what Mothership said in the thread, it seems like they've sampled their stickers before, but for some reason this run took an unexpected nosedive in quality, which I don't think is their fault.
To reiterate, my issue is that the item should not be purchasable while they figure out what's wrong. I don't think that's too much to ask. From a basic internet search, it seems like changing the visibility of the listing is quite easy.

Yeah, I'm unhappy with my experience, but it wasn't enough to make me never want to purchase from them again, and it wasn't enough to make me make this tf.tv post. Like I said, I made the tf.tv post to alert other potential customers of the risks of ordering. Maybe my wording's not great there.

That'd be different if I was promised that the item would be removed from the store. Instead, it is a vague "we'll figure out the issues" reply along with telling your customers they have to deal with the return if they don't like it (in direct response to someone asking "are you sure you don't want to remove this?" The marketing director themself said the product was low quality. Who would like it?

EDIT: To be clear, the proper response (imo) for this is:

1. Notify customer that you agree product is unsatisfactory and you are making strides to remove it from the store ASAP
   
2. Resolve issue with manufacturer
   
3. Obtain product as sample
   
4. Assure quality via inspection and use
   
5. Put the product out for consumers to purchase

Fireside produces fantastic merchandise at low costs, and I don't think siyo is making these clothes/stickers/patches himself.

EDIT: From talking with friends, it seems as a whole my intentions were misinterpreted by a lot of people (I believe this is my own fault). I won't lay out exactly where things went wrong or how I still have issues, as I think it'll just be misinterpreted again and this discussion is not worth having at this point. I regret not running my post by some of my buddies to make sure my intentions were clear and read properly.
I'll close this out by clearing up a few things that hopefully won't invite potential controversy:

1. I do not expect 100% QA perfection from any company or organization. I have worked in multiple types of customer service, where I both had control and no control over the product quality, as well as had my own failings dealing with customers.
   
2. I never expected any RGL entity to shut down the entire store because of a single listing. Just because the sticker listing and actual product I received is messed up does not mean that the shirts are bad.
   
3. I do not believe Mothership should be replaced/fired/transferred/punished/etc.
   
4. I do not believe RGL is fundamentally broken or flawed or that the people running the org don't give a shit.
   
5. This was not intended to be an RGL bashing post; I gave you the backstory of my customer interaction to hopefully let you understand why I felt the need to make this post to protect other consumers. While I am annoyed at certain things, bashing RGL was not the point of this post.

RGL refuses to take this item off the store: be warned now and later of potentially low quality items!

I ordered these TF2 Monuments stickers off of the official RGL merchandise store. I paid a total of 17$ (listed price of 13 + shipping).

You can note from the listing image itself, they appear a little weird. I figured they were just displayed like that due to some weird Teespring store glitch and assumed they were two separate stickers. You wouldn't want text arbitrarily sideways.

When my shipment arrived, here is what I received. This photo was taken with a Pixel 7; a recent phone with a notably high quality camera. I'd say the pictures are quite representative of the item itself. Here is an alternate image with a book with large and small text (for checking my camera quality), as well as a Post It note for scale.

You can first note how the stickers are stuck together. There is no tiny cut or anything that lets you use them separately; in order to use them separately, as obviously intended, you have to cut a perfectly straight line yourself to separate the stickers which is absurd.

Next, you can note the low quality of the stickers themselves; I believe that the source GFX itself is quite high res, but a low res printer was used, resulting in an incredibly poor quality image, making them unusable.

While getting a refund (which I started 8 AM Monday and is not finished yet (this is a Teespring return process, not RGL, to be clear)), I decided to open a support ticket to recommend removal of this item from the store.

The following two images are excerpts of the conversations I had with RGL (edit: the RGL Marketing Director specifically); I would go back and get more screenshots but the ticket was closed without it being my choice.

To recap: they admit it is low quality and that they're looking into other options. In the meantime, they will not take this product off of their official storefront. They cannot do anything about refunds, so if you get the item and you don't like it (you won't), you have to then go through the hassle of returning the item.

So for some reason, it's not RGL's problem that their product quality was not vetted and that you have to wait a week, get the item, realize how dogshit it is, then return it through a poor return process. That's your problem!

RGL, this is business 101. You don't put products on shelves that you aren't willing to back. As a result, I am extremely unhappy with my service and will not buy from your storefront again. I'm not making this tf.tv post because I'm unhappy though; I'm making it to alert other potential customers of the experience I've had, especially because you won't take this item off your storefront despite directly saying the item is low quality.

Yeah I was being dumb. The custom models should be fine as long as they load normally. However, it looks like the sticky jumper and the rocket jumper's materials use the bypass trick, so you'd have to remove those to make an accepted version of the pack.
The only part of my mod that is bannable is the pyro's hands, so I'll make a version myself that doesn't use those so people who like it can use it.

Mods that use the bypass are banned on RGL. Just to be 100% clear (because I wasn't 100% sure)

From my perspective (joined S11), RGL does not give a shit about helping new players be aware of these active dangers. I assume it's because you're supposed to solely play RGL pugs (which are mostly HL and probably aren't good for new players) because what you do outside of the league is Not Their Problem.
Serveme doesn't care either: Nursey, whose 90% of logs are on serveme servers, is not banned from the service.
The "representatives of the league" don't care either: A few (many? idek) of them are still friends with Nursey, including b4nny. Some of them even pug with Nursey.

So when your "community" league, your main provider of servers, and your influential high level players (including the public face of competitive TF2) all feel it is Not Their Problem, it has to become our problem, because Nursey is still active in competitive circles.
(I don't know how far these three groups should go towards taking action on this issue, but it's clear so far that it is and will be nothing.)
