they think your dreams are make believe, and don't trust you to make them become a reality. aka they want you to get a "real job".

Valve only has so much to do with it I believe.. If this game was that appealing to everyone then it would be thriving. They do put time and effort into the game when there's only so much you can actually do with it. Most games don't get any updates after a few years. A match making system isn't going to bring in thousands of new players. Truth is this game is only liked and appreciated by a small amount of gamers, usually older ones who long for some type of team oriented fps trip with a classic feel. There's nothing really wrong with this game. It just doesn't attract all types of players. The new gen goes for moba's for the most part. I suggest to simply continue playing, tell your friends, enjoy it while it's still here because nothing lasts forever. The good news however.. Valve made too much money off tf2 to let it just die out. There will definitely be another. Enjoy the game and community for what it is until then. That's what I plan on doing. Hopefully they can improve upon the competitive side of things at that time with a fresh start.
Sounds like we need some CTF that actually works in tf2. It actually makes other classes much needed similar to tfc. TFC always had a healthy mix of ctf/cp maps/epicenter/etc which created a good variety on gameplay. Also created more buzz amidst competition because some teams were better at one game mode and not so much the other. Yes we have koth/cp but maybe we need to elaborate some more. Find a setup that supports perhaps 8v8 ctf like tfc did and have a set # of people on offense and defense (4+4), allowing teams to use whatever combination of classes they'd like with class limits on only medics, demos & heavies for obvious reasons on either side of offense or defense. Imagine offense being 1 medic, 1 soldier, 2 scouts.. And imagine defense being 1 medic, 1 engineer, 1 demo, 1 soldier. Actually after writing this it might even be better to run it 9v9 which might make it extremely hard to field enough players but we did it in tfc for a long time so it's possible. Valves tried to incorporate a variety of modes but we really stick with the same old year after year aside from a few new maps. Need to think outside the box and see what can be fun and competitive. Do you think highlander was started with TF2? It was a thing in TFC for a long time.
So what did everyone get from Santa this year?
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all! Enjoy the generous gifts and time with your loved ones. I miss being able to play this game.
DavidTheWinI play, very slowly working through the story first though.
Add me! I don't mind starting from scratch leveling a different character. I went with Athena at first got her up to like level 37 I think.
Been a while! Played this a bit, enjoyed beating the campaign and wanna do some co-op with some tf2 folk. Definitely on TVHM as i'm finding it a lot harder than BL2. Who here plays? If you wanna play some add me on steam!
Toasterbearodactylplay the game
just saying play the game won't change anything. If you keep playing the game and practicing the wrong things playing, you will not get any better. i get so pissed when people say play the game.
if you play this game a lot and keep making dumb mistakes over and over again without realizing you need to change something, then you're never going to get good. like ever. good players are good because they know whats effective through experience. the more you play the better you'll become.. then it depends on your individual talent to see how far you can actually go with your game.
it's a god damn mouse people, some pro gamers use $20 microsoft mice lol
casting is a job they do for free, wait for the damn stv's and relax
I'm going to replay Skyrim to feel once again what a good game is.
BTW anyone get NBA2k15? Haven't played a basketball game since NBA Jam. Curious about it?
Have you guys gotten Alien Isolation yet? Contemplating on whether or not to buy it or wait for price to drop.
I've been playing this game for a few days now and I wanted to get your opinions on it. I'm a bit disappointed in the overall extent of the story. You'd think being based off LOTR it'd have an amazing story line filled with all sorts of twists and turns. I was hoping for something similar to Skyrim with a LOTR base. Reminded me of the movie Eragon. Could've been so good had it been done right.
Now the entire game wasn't completely awful. The concept of controlling the armies, the graphics, voice editing, was all good. The AI was pretty good as well. I just found it to be way too easy after some upgrades and sometimes that's okay for me if the story is keeping me entertained. Problem was as soon as the story was getting good it was over. The ending wasn't even a real fight. I spent hours grinding my character for upgrades all for nothing.
I could've finished much quicker than I had but I wanted to get all the side quests done. Overall i'd give this game about a 5/10 for the concept and graphics but the game could've been done so much better. Of course it's setup for a sequel as well. What'd you guys think?
