#47 The future of tf2 and i58 in The Dumpster

not to mention the copious amounts of neglect we get from valve. they rarely fix any of the bugs we report to them, they break our huds all the time and have blocked us from using innocent plugins that were competitive staples like p-rec. they have shown us time and time again that they really do not give a shit. they spent months working on this matchmaking thing and I'm pretty sure it's trash, idk I haven't tried it. tf2 used to be a game you could play on the shittiest of machines, now you need a decent setup to keep a playable frame rate with a 120/144hz monitor. tf2 could have been bigger but valve didn't help/let us do that. as a community we've probably brought in thousands of new players to the game who in turn buy hats and shit and make valve millions. none of that was invested back into our community for production crews or tournaments or anything.

I think it's safe to say valve killed tf2

flatlinemy favorite esports are smash bore and counter-snore: global impasse

maybe it's just me but I find csgo to be a great game to watch. even before I played the game and knew what was going on it was fun to watch.

overwatch on the other hand is not fun to watch and tf2 can get really boring with stalemates and shit casters.

personally I don't think tf2 will survive much longer. with the growing importance of twitch viewership and big prize money I can't imagine people will keep investing time in a game where there's neither right now. especially when people know that their skills can be transferred over to a newer and more alive game and likely make a career out of it.

#47 Do pros consider scout op? in TF2 General Discussion

no, soldier is the easiest and most powerful class in the game. absolutely baffles me whenever i see people claim scout is easier or more powerful.

#34 Help with tracking in TF2 General Discussion

tracking = comfortable continuous mouse movement

try palm gripping your mouse as opposed to fingertip or claw gripping. if this is too dramatic of a change try minimizing finger movements and move your wrist and arm more

having a 120hz/144hz monitor will help you dramatically

anticipate where the player you are trying to track is going, tracking is as much about prediction as it is reaction

try using a low sensitivity that isnt too extreme (12"-16"/360). set your mouse's polling rate to 1000hz

get a large mousepad that will help you limit how often you pick up your mouse and reset

when I played I found having my elbow at a 90° angle helped tremendously with tracking. I achieved this by sitting closer to my desk and raising my chair height

it's important you don't grip your mouse too hard also, I find having a relaxed and calm grip on my mouse helps a lot. clockwork does this I think too

when I played competitive scout my aim style was very reliant on tracking compared to most other players so I hope this helps! feel free to add me I'll let you in on some of my net setting secrets.

Turinalso proto, the US has probably the best university system in the world in terms of what it teaches you

not even close actually, I think America comes in at like 20th behind almost every other highly developed nation when it comes to tertiary education. your ignorance reinforces this fact even more.

your a complete fool for thinking your country has better education than say any western european nation even without knowing the official standings.

hellbent is right corsa, you guys pay ridiculous amounts for an equal or lesser education than you could get at a school up here in canada. canadian colleges and universities are flooded with thousands of american students escaping the embarrassing reality of your countries post secondary education system.
