Knuckles_How do you not know the path of the loose cannon? It's easier to see and has a shorter range. And 85% of the time you get hit by a loose cannon it does 60, not 100.
i mean when you see pipes coming through a choke, you know if you walk in you have a good chance of taking 100.
when you see loose cannons exploding in the choke, you dont know whether you would take 60 or 141. basically it discourages peeking chokes (without the demo sacrificing stickies for a trap), which slows the game down.
Don't say "they only do 100 damage" like that isn't the highest mid to long range damage in the game besides the lucky double donk
i can peek a choke as any class and take a pipe, and then have enough health and freedom of movement to potentially get out safely. if i take a loose cannon, unless i'm a soldier or a fullbuffed demo, it's likely i'll get knocked into a corner killed by a spam rocket that does the 50 damage needed to finish me off. even in the best case scenario i still take 60 and get knocked out of the choke, which just makes the whole peek pointless.
