Thought of a change for the soda popper hype:
+when you run, you fill a meter that gives you extra jumps. you can use as many as you want in succession, but each one drains the meter (like a combination of Vaccinator and BFB meters)
-no built in double jump
So basically you will have the same playstyle of having huge spurts of mobility, but the weapon is now both more reliable and less annoying to play against, since scouts couldn't just avoid every rocket for 10 full seconds. At the same time, it now has an actual downside that after a fight you are much more helpless, and therefore cannot be as aggressive.
Wondering how many jumps should be available at maximum meter, and how quickly it should fill. I was thinking 6 maximum jumps, and fill in around 8 seconds.

i was the captain on my high school tennis team my senior year. we were a terrible team and we had just enough people to field a full meet and i was the second worst player on the team but i was the only senior so i got to be captain. i havent played since then, unfortunately. its a great sport that can last a lifetime (my grandma was winning all-ages tournaments at age 50)

Mapleyou just get to a point where a scout will be the best option the majority of the time.
hence the one player limit on each class, meaning 2 scouts would be disallowed. you are right about the cycle not actually cycling, but worse than the 5th always being scout and therefore essentially going back to 6s, the 5th would in most cases be either a sniper or a heavy, depending on context. and no one wants to play against full time sniper, much less heavy (especially in matchmaking where successfully focusing a heavy would be near impossible). heavy/sniper would probably be so viable that i could easily see the scout offclassing to the other as well, and engineer/pyro on lasts.
knowing valve we'll probably be sending teams to i67 to hype matchmaking anyway. let's just take it one step at a time, and make sure not to pass up on any opportunities.

tbh HBS, C&C, and to some degree 20b are all wild cards right now. HBS could potentially be much worse, much better, or anything in between with their new roster.
