#4 Possible MGE tournament? in TF2 General Discussion

If the entry fee is $10 per participant, only 1 participant would be enough for a server. This means that you are asking for money for your unusual, probably to get that disgusting hat out of your inventory for a decent profit.

Idk this just has shitty written all over it.

#4 lft backup in Recruitment (looking for team)

was a stupidly good medic and a solid soldier with a positive attitude and a pretty impressive knowledge of the game. would recommend for an IM team.

#10 Odd internet issue in Off Topic

I had the same issue a while back, upload around 1/10 of what it should be. Swapping cables fixed it.

#3 Scout LFT Low-Mid Open in Recruitment (looking for team)

Chill dude, decent DM and is willing to listen to any critique.

Would do well on a low open team as really almost any class.

#10 Geo LFT Scout/Roamer (ESEA-O) in Recruitment (looking for team)
shootistHoly shit I have never seen people go out of their way so much in one of these threads.

You'd think it's excessive, but you should consider he bought a friend of mine a 5 bud unusual to prove his dedication to improving, then immediately proceeded to remove everyone who even socialized with that friend when he found more weebs to hang out with.

#4 Geo LFT Scout/Roamer (ESEA-O) in Recruitment (looking for team)

Let me start this by saying that wherever george goes, a wake of burned bridges is sure to follow. His personality varies from the most immature player I've ever played with to a condescending nuisance that acts as if he's multiple divs above everyone in the vicinity.

At first, he acts like he genuinely wants you to tell him what he's doing wrong. He acts like a decent player would. He stays up late talking to you about how he really wants to improve. But eventually, his ego catches up to him, and he starts defending his actions and siding against you whenever he can. Whenever he goes near his friends, he will toss anything you have given him away in favor of his new friends. This eventually leads to him removing you in angst and cutting contact with that entire group of friends.

You may think that this isn't related to being on a team or in game, but it manifests in his near-bipolar twofaced personality that will surely cause him to be very short with you when you realize that he isn't actually practicing to improve, but to say that he's improving. Similarly, he likes to place himself in higher divisions than he really is, then condescendingly offers to play pocket for a mid-steel team that he really wasn't better than.

I can't recommend anyone putting george on their team for his attitude alone, but his scout DM is around high-Steel and his soldier DM isn't much better. His gamesense isn't anything impressive but also doesn't hinder him a ton.

Really it's his attitude I'd avoid like spent nuclear fuel cores. Good luck to the team that tries to keep him aboard, he can be pretty funny sometimes.

#6 Bronan LFT in Recruitment (looking for team)

His demo DM is absurdly impressive, but personally I can't stand playing with him.

He carries the mentality of being always right about everything he calls and likes to command his combo, but doesn't like anyone questioning him and doesn't sustain suggestions very well. On the rare occasion that I played with him, that mentality made it very frustrating. Would recommend him for a high-Open team, but his attitude needs work before I'd call him IM.

no, it counters the ability to reliably spam a sniper using hitscan

#2 LF New Computer, Are these specs good? in Hardware

That graphics apu is abysmal, you wouldn't get past minimum settings on very many games at all. It would likely run crysis 3 at like 10 fps max.

What you could do is buy a radeon card to crossfire with it. Something like the 7770 would be neatly priced for this build.

hk is a really cool ass gee

he stuck with my team of baddies through the horror that was ugc iron patiently all while being hilarious and maintaining a very nice attitude towards us and having 0 condescension or hostility

his dm could use work but he can definitely pull off a low open scout with some practice.

great friend and has a lot of potential, would recommend for a new-to-esea low open team

#62 Youtube to buy Twitch? in Off Topic

while the initial boost to bandwidth might be good, the google+ integration into chat and streaming is a definite. The main concern, however is google's heavyhanded contentID system that would ban nearly all copyrighted music and even some games (think of that one Day One garry's Incident game).

Plus monopolization of the video streaming market isn't good for viewers, streamers or chat users. It's really only beneficial for those making money off of it. A lack of competition will eventually drive Twitch to be a worse website as a whole, think of google's google+ with youtube disaster.
