If this team actually wants to grind that's sick. When I first heard about this team I kinda assumed it would only last a week or 2 before dying, and kinda doubted that anyone would really take a leadership role in the team and it'd just be a troll team that dies. If they actually want to grind and stuff, ofc having someone like aim on the team will help people get a much better understanding of the game from demo reviews and in-game conversations and all that.

Looking at ppl rgl histories means nothing considering most of what you highlighted was szns ppl were just roster riding

Raph has played like 2 szns of rgl, both on scout, none of them got good results despite him being a good scout. He hasn't played soldier in like 4-5 years and now has 90 ping

I just suck but that's apparent

Chronos best result before this was in s6, the other teams he was a sub for

Dinko hasn't played main other than half a szn in s7 where his team died, before that he won im on med.

Durzo did get good results with sweaty, but him and raygun are the only people to have made playoffs before, and neither of them did well in playoffs. Saying my team was this obvious sandbag team is just a bizarre claim to me considering 2 ppl on my team have made main playoffs before. No one but raph has higher div exp. Yeah the team was good but it definitely wasn't a shoe in team for winning off the get go as millie pointed out.

I think it'll be really interesting to watch almost very team that made playoffs last season play main again, really speaks to everyone's competitive mindset and drive to get better. Also can't wait to see more people who won main before play the div again. Gotta give up and comers a hard time so they're ready for adv!

Really good teammate, kills everything. Hard to accurately endorse raygun enough. Last szn like 2 days before the szn started our old pocket scout left, and he was able to come in to not only save the team, but be the best pocket scout the team has had up to that point.

We wouldn't have gotten 2nd place main without him, and the entire time not only did he choose to grow as an individual and improve his gameplay that way, he also learned how to maincall for us after we recognized one of our biggest issues was a soldier needing to maincall things. In the like 2 week period of week 7 regular season to playoffs matches, raygun went from barely talking, to being a maincaller the entire team was confident could lead us to winning.

Really funny and humble guy. For some reason he always thinks he's playing badly despite being incredible for the team.

The community has to cleanse itself of these people for it to actually grow and develop in a positive way. Yes it sucks to lose people who care about the community, and just knowing how many degenerate people in the community can easily made both new and old players want to leave, but if the community can't survive without doxxers/pedos/rapsists etc. then it shouldn't live at all.

It's a very unfortunate double-edged sword that since so much of the Alfa stuff was (attempted) to be kept under wraps, a ton of people just don't know what he did, so they choose to not care when they see invite players playing with/against him. Despite this, I still think it is better to leave the specifics of what happened quiet because having it all super well-known is just a shitty situation to everyone else involved.

This is all in contrast to nursey for example, where what they did was very public and they are completely separated from at least the comp community, with threads popping up if they even touch the game in comp. Ik it's not quite as nice as that cuz there's still weird stuff where people get mentored by him and still have him added etc.

It sucks that people just think "oh well idk what he did so it can't be that serious" even though what alfa did was arguably much worse. Would love to see rgl take some action against the people that just continue to play with him, esp when they're streaming it and stuff. Alfa not being completely rejected from the community by this point is nothing short of disappointing.

this is old as fuck and saying "going sv_cheats 1 and noclipping" is cheating is just the most insane take I have ever seen. By that logic the entirety of rpc (adv team that won last szn) should get erased off the face of the earth.
