Youpeople concerned about them removing the option to hide viewmodels should consider that the option has been available for years in the advanced options menu in-game
There are also two launch options that few people seem to know about the yield significantly better fps (in general):
-high (sets tf2 to high priority mode)
-nod3d9ex (not sure what it does but when I played I a laptop it literally doubled my fps)
-high doesn't work anymore afaik.
i don't know much about -nod3d9ex beside that it force to use some kind of directX version (and fixed my mumble overlay when it was White).

Do you think it will substitute Insomnia as the "biggest tf2 lan"? I knew one of the problems with I lan series was the cost to reach the place and board & lodging. Did you find Dreamhack more... affordable or (as I'd think) not?
