decent computer under 500$?

Greetings!
I want to build a computer for under 500$ to replace my current computer(gateway DX4200-09 shit)
basically, all i need is something that doesn't give me 20 fps all the time. My main goal is to have somewhere over 100 fps constant, or above. CPU and RAM seem to be the most important to achieve fps. Can anyone give input into the critical parts of a computer system for the most fps at the cheapest cost?
