100% support this idea. My brother always complains about how pubs are ruined with all these crazy hats, weapons, and skins. I'm sure the whole lot of us on tf.tv would appreciate a vanilla server like this.

The lineups are so ridged that you rarely encounter a moment where you need to solve a problem on the fly like a normal game of tf2 you might be playing against a team that's 3 engineers two heavies and a medic and some randoms and you'll have to figure out how to combat that other team.
I used to play a lot of TF2 with my wife’s son and we got so good that we even dabbled in some high level competitive 6v6 pick up games called “lobbies”. Unfortunately we found the competitive players to generally be extremely angry and without any sense of humor whatsoever when it comes to their teammate’s weapon choices or individual performance. Nowadays we just play league together as it’s a much more laidback and enjoyable experience.
what
play with the mindset of remaining calm throughout the entire game.
never go in with the mindset of "I'm going to wreck their entire team." It will NEVER happen.
capnfapnAbandoning their medic at mid is a really common strat for soldiers no matter what their skill level is. most teams will leave a scout or two and a demo with the medic while the soldiers jump and do damage. at lower levels its pretty likely they wont pull this off perfectly but its important to remember that its not just soldiers who protect the medic.
I'm aware of that, but I guess my post wasn't clear enough. At lower levels it's common for the medic to be completely alone around the same time that the soldiers jump for height advantage. Newbie scouts on the other team frequently rush in too early when they see their friendly soldiers advancing, so I wanted to point that out.
When you're playing scout against soldier, it's important that you don't let yourself fall into auto-pilot mode.
You have to be very conscious and in the moment about your movement, otherwise you are going to be predictable and have poor engagements that you won't be able to win. Also, on a larger scale, be aware of your positioning. Don't overextend for a kill unless it is going to benefit your team. A lot of times, you really just have to get in, and then get out, or, in other words, throw out some damage, and then immediately go support a teammate that needs help.
Also, on a smaller note, in lower level matches, when soldiers abandon their medic at mid to gain height advantage, you can usually land an easy pick on the med because newbie scouts will often rush in prematurely, abandoning their medic.

Those rank names sound pretty stupid.
sure, there is a little bit of tickling, but at the end of the day, we never really see any actual penetration
I just wanna see some penetration
Thank god I was a minute too late to place my bet on Froyo
holy shit. Anyone got a valid stv?
Had a lobby against a scout named sgt. milk. Only has 627 hours.
Obvious aimbot, he had some of the worst movement I've seen but landed max damage shots at whatever distance he'd be at. For instance, he'd bum rush through doors moving straight and land meatshot after meatshot, without even facing his target if they were beside him.

EDIT: By the way, just had a lobby against Yuri, she had 80% scattergun accuracy with 374 DPM, 11k damage

ulmyxxsrsly its confidence, warmup, and 144hz. Obviously practice. But the only things other than practice that will help your dm are quality gear(only does a little) 144hz is pretty dank. Warm Ups both physical and ingame. Also csgo makes u p good at scout. Just saying.
i forgot I was using a 60hz monitor
