btw it's one of those cfgs where the viewmodel is defaulted to not show, but if your press a button, it will show the viewmodel at a specific fov until death

r_drawviewmodel 1 doesnt work

How can I permanently turn on viewmodels with a cfg saved to my steam cloud that turns them off?

That kind of helped. What I'm trying to do is get rid of my old crosshair and viewmodel setting, but they only go away if I add -autoconfig to the launch options,delete the cfg folder's contents, and disable steam cloud.

By the way, can I change the HUD with Steam Cloud sync turned off? For some reason, I havent been able to get a HUD to work.

and was there a change that moved your game file locations under the common folder in steamapps?

Never figured it out, want to change some things.
