Daigo is slowly placing higher and higher. Got 2nd last week at Wellplayed cup losing to Mago. He will be going to ECT which is happening next month and is actually playing in the E-Sports Hong Kong Festival 2016 right now in winner's side.

Speaking of ESHKF 2016, top 8 will be happening in 1 hour or so. Winner's side is Eita vs Humanbomb and Daigo vs UD with Saunic vs Gamerbee and Dogura and Xian in loser's bracket.
E-SHKF 2016 ends with our lord and savior BST|Daigo Umehara taking 1st place. HM|Eita takes a step up from his usual placings taking 2nd, losing only to Daigo in the tournament. 3rd goes to ZW|GamerBee fresh off his new sponsor of Zowie. Summer Jam X is also well underway and is approaching top 8 pretty soon. Lots of big names and with the absence of Justin Wong we will see a new western champion on our hands.
Summer Jam X has ended with Liquid|Nuckledu taking his first CPT win. He has won some other tournaments but they did not grant any points so good for him. 2nd place goes to old school player EG|Ricki Ortiz repping the west coast. In 3rd and 4th we have the trinity repping team ken in FOX|Julio Fuentes and EVB|Chris T. The rest of top 8 is NVT Flash, EG|K-Brad, Circa LPN, and F3.Alucard.

Next week we have 4 tournaments coming up but it is also during i58 so whatever you pick it will still be a great weekend of entertainment next week.

Procrastination will be the death of me. Waited until I was 19 to get my driver's. Waited until I was 18 to even start looking for an easy part time job. Procrastinated on a lot of my school work and as a result I don't even know if I can make it into college this year. Waited too long to register for my courses. Hesitated on so many opportunities for no reason. I could have gotten a selfie with Jay Z and Beyonce when I was like 12. I could have had a school sponsored trip to France (note that I think France in general is really cool). Could have started so many things so much earlier what I had the chance to but didn't. I don't really dwell on my past mistakes too much but when I do it hits hard all of the things I could have done so easily but didn't and I don't get the benefits of the decisions I could have taken. Not even the decisions but just getting my shit done on time was such a problem for me. Even in video games and stuff I can barely get the dailies for the 2 games that have them. At least I've identified my problem and I'm trying to work on it.

This weekend we have two events lined up: Summer Jam over in Philadelphia and E-Sports Festival Hong Kong 2016.

The Yangcheng Cup hosted by Dakou will be on http://twitch.tv/yangchengcup and hosts a great deal of asian players with mostly Japan being absent though there a couple Japanese representatives here.

The Yangcheng Cup has ended with Tse4444 from China taking 1st place. 2nd place comes from Xiaohu Ge and Dashen Bei Bei takes 3rd. 4th place end to a more familiar name in the form of RB|Bonchan. The rest of top 8 was HumanBomb, PandaTV|Dafan, Chris Wong, and PandaTV|Feiji Zi

Furia Tica 2016 has ended with Justin Wong adding another tournament win to his streak. A surprise visit from France's own Melty|Will2Pac will take the 2nd place. FOX|Julio Fuentes takes 3rd continuing to cement himself as a top American player with EG|Ricki Ortiz not far behind at 4th place. The rest of top 8 was NVT|Flash, ON|Gabo, TC507|Kakaroto, and EG|K-Brad

Well Played Cup is happening in Japan with many Japanese players plus a wild Xian appearing. He was also on BeasTV, Daigo's twitch weekly show. That will be happening on http://twitch.tv/beastapac

Mago takes his 2nd tournament this year taking 1st at Wellplayed Cup. BST|Daigo Umehara seems to be shaping up once more taking 2nd at this event. The HM duo HM|Go1 and HM|Eita take their consistent 3rd and 4th places. The rest of top 8 is Youshikibi, YOUDEAL MJS|Haitani, DNG|Itabashi Zangief, and Iori. To note is that Yukadon, AW|Nemo, and Kazunoko did not place as high as many would expect them to with 9th and 13th place finishes. Japan is definitely one of the strongest scenes in the world, however, so it may not come a surprise to the Japanese.

Also of note is the European Online Event One has ended with MD|Mister Crimson taking first place with his strange mix of Dhalsim and Laura. Rize|Cobelcog takes 2nd with his reactive Cammy while also securing a spot in the regional finals. AWS|Linkexelo takes 3rd seemingly coming out of nowhere. BX3|Phenom, Europe's current top player takes 4th today still showing off his consistency. The rest of the top 8 is rounded out with PxP|Problem X, Jijidalal7, Evans, and PRLS|Packz.

Both the Asia-Oceania and Latin America online events have ended with Aozaki Ryo and RZR|Xian taking first place. This gives them a nice amount of points and a spot and their regional finals. Congrats!

VSFighting has recently ended with AWS|CCL taking another European victory home. In second place was NA's very own and newly sponsored EVB|Chris T. AWS|Akainu takes 3rd place losing only to 2nd place Chris T in the process while the UK's own Ryan Hart takes 4th. The rest of top 8 are Packz, ISDD, brenttiscool, and Afii.

Just so you guys know, the Topanga Charity Cup #6 has begun on twitch.tv/topangatv

While it's not part of the CPT many many top players are attending in I believe 5v5 teams. Pretty much every asian top player is in attendance aside from Infiltration. Even Snake Eyez is over there since he stayed after his appearance at the RAGE Tournament. The tournament is supporting the Tokyo branch of Red Cross. There is no english stream from my knowledge but you get to see Mago and Nemo commentate.

While I'm here I'll just shout out a couple things and contain it to one post.

Last weekend there was also an online tournament I was unaware of in which XsK_Samurai won. This grants him some points (I believe) but more importantly a spot in the regional finals.

VSFighting will be happening over in Birmingham, England. Also happening over the weekend is the online events for Latin America and Asia-Oceania. Expect top Euro players at VSFighting and perhaps the emergence of a new up and coming player within the online events.

Edit: Ok let me reiterate. The teams I'm looking at here are really stacked for the Topanga Charity Cup. It's impossible to tell who is going to win this. There's even top players from GGX out of Machabo in here. There's also teams consisting of quite a few Super Turbo and 3rd Strike players. Not even that but some tech monsters (those who find really crazy stuff in the game) are playing on teams as well. You must watch this it's going to be nuts.
