I'm not sure though, they said there is a letter which should be up at the time of the video's release. I'm not sure if they misspoke, if they intend to publish the letter later, or if they are talking about a different letter.

Did they say what ranking system they would be using or what game it would be most similar to? Will it be an MMR number that we can see like in DoTA or just a rank like in CSGO?

Valve is data driven. If tournaments start to get massive viewerships then we could potentially see a Valve sponsored tournament. Keep in mind that CSGO didn't get Valve sponsored tournaments until they were getting a lot more viewers than we get now

I think that the reason they haven't done this yet is they don't want to confuse people who are new-ish. Like not complete noobs, but people who are just learning the maps. Although honestly if they really are going to implement all these changes then whenever they push the mm stuff would be the perfect time to push these maps.

Also the payment situation may get a little strange. Do they count as community maps with map stamps? What about maps where different people made different versions? Does a person making a few small changes that really fix the map deserve the same amount of credit as somebody who made a big change that didn't end up doing much to how the map plays?

I think that leaving the mid unchanged is the correct decision if you want the map to be played over granary. Changing it made it feel more like a new map and less like a tweaked granary.

I quite liked your mid and would play it over granary's, but a lot of people would probably disagree and the map would probably never become mainstream if you keep your own mid.

If it's the last season I feel like people would try even harder to win, not throw (not that I believe it will be the last season anyway)
