Why do they do this every update smh. At least there's a convar this time.
jeff'Gifted by' Tag can now be removed from items via 'Restore?' Context action from the Backpack view
LOL THERE GOES TRADING
I thought this too but I just went and searched outpost for like 5 minutes looking for gifted unusuals and they seem way less common than I thought they were
messiahdeetrStill no Original skin https://static-cdn.jtvnw.net/emoticons/v1/86/1.0
extine said in one of his videos that valve seriously regrets putting in the original in tf2, so i doubt there will be skins
Valve cares way more about money than quality of their games, really unlikely there won't be an original skin eventually imo
BumFreezei dont think there should be skins for any non-stock weapons to be honest as it could make it super hard to differentiate between them
I think they could make non-stock skins that are fine to differentiate. Like if there was a slightly tinted Original with a few stripes on it you could probably still tell what it is quite easily. A lot of the non-stock weapons also look completely different. The only ones that could really cause problems that I can think of are alternative sticky launchers, lochnload, flamethrowers, bats, pistols, gunboats/mantreads, axes, and wrenches
eeeI question a data set that only looks at median or w/e and doesn't notice that there's a weird distribution where the ~80th percentile of users suddenly jumps from .3 KD to 4 KD
like that's not good statistics at all
Well the CZ-75 was completely broken (like more broken than any gun in recent tf2 history) and the CSGO team left it in the game for months because it was bad at a lower skill level. I really doubt that anybody at Valve cares about higher skill gameplay. If they did they wouldn't have nerfed demo.
eeetrashalso, to quickly throw out a point (since I am now seeing redditors mad at pyro nerfs, god bless them):I question their data because I dont think ive ever seen a phlog pyro keep less than a ~2:1 KD
valve obsesses over data. we're already well aware of this, look at any blog post mentioning changes in CSGO and DOTA2 and they talk about it all the time.
knowing this, keep in mind that the data valve likely has on pyro will consist almost entirely of degreaser/stock/powerjack, and nothing else. calm the fuck down, look for the long term here
it didnt need a buff lol
Ya but their data is mostly incompetent pub players who see somebody raping people with the phlog and then try it themselves only to get 0 frags
Also these outlines might be part of why they want everybody to use dx9, afaik the outline effect doesn't work in dx8
KairudeetrI wonder if the jarate/mad milk cooldown reduction stacks. Would be pretty insane to instantly get it back for extinguishing 5 teammates.
Also that phlog buff https://static-cdn.jtvnw.net/emoticons/v1/33/1.0
It's moreso a phlog nerf tbh. The damage while taunting was negligible because of the reduction already. It was already best to get in position and hold damage till after the taunt anyway.
However, being knockbacked immediately gave you the kritz from your phlog taunt without waiting, so if you got airblasted or something, you immediately krit that pyro's face. Not being able to do that (and do that "tactically") is probably more of a nerf than a buff.
The 75% damage reduction wasn't enough to stop a heavy/scout from killing you, now you literally can't die. If they went from the original 90% to full invuln it wouldn't be a big deal but this change is. Also you can't really balance something around people not knowing what it does. Everybody knew that airblasting or shooting a rocket would cancel the taunt, sometimes it was still worth it to do but now you don't even have the option.

Also that phlog buff
invictawhat is the hype behind star wars
plz explain
I get that you might not be hyped for star wars but there's no way you actually don't understand how there could be hype for it
Reinstall Steam maybe? The general troubleshooting solution is delete everything except Steam.exe and /steamapps/ and then run Steam
Max_The real question is, are firepowered servers still laggy?
It's great they added class restrictions but if they are still jittery and laggy I still personally won't play on them
Yeah they are still really laggy
saamno competitive focused pub server has succeeded since star's east coast, and it took him having hundreds of thousands of subscribers who wanted a chance to play with him to keep it populated.
I don't even know of any normal pubs not tied to bigger organizations that do well
This is something people don't seem to realize but is entirely true. I have been a part of justplay for like 2 years now and basically every new server we have tried to launch since the update where they fucked up quickplay has failed and that is even with multiple other servers that are always full with plugs for the servers. You basically have to bot to get a new server off the ground at this point.
