this mostly + some of the ingame sounds give me a pretty large headache but i'd like to still know when i'm hitting things.
I use a flashing crosshair for this purpose and it works just fine.
There's no way to tell how much damage you did with a crosshair though afaik (like the dingaling min and max do)

it comes down to whether killing/tri tells their programmer there was an update before everyone goes to play their matches or not
I was referring to the last update in particular where the servers didn't work for like a week. I suppose that since sourcemod is working there probably won't be major issues.
flatlineCrash MAY be related to hud stuff (specifically related to dropping items?). I'll be testing this shortly if/when changelogs come out.

I want to remove the things above your head that show if you are dominating/being dominated by somebody, silence the sounds that play, and hide the text in the killfeed.
I looked around and it seems I should just replace all the icons and sounds with blank ones. What files do I need to replace and does anybody know how I could do this in such a way that it will work on sv_pure 2? Is this even possible?
Also how would I go about removing them from the killfeed? Is there a file that contains the domination text? Ideally I would like to completely remove it but replacing it with an empty line would be just as good.

WARHURYEAHThe investment that people have in dota2 with in game items, market, workshops and custom games is huge. LoL has the same and a larger player base with people already investing a heavy amount of time and money in to it.
HotS has a F2P system which offers nothing unique compared to the other games, if Dota2 had the same F2P model as LoL it would never be where it is now. And with Blizzard adopting a similar F2P style for overwatch it very much will go down the same. And I know calling HotS a failure so soon is pretty bad but if it didn't hit the ground running and having a huge start it will eventually fall to the side.
Dota2 only had such a good start because of the way Valve handled it, give it a fucking big prizepool and get everyones attention, everyone sees the "2" after "dota" and then allow everyone to play their favourite heroes for free.
Overwatch's payment model hasn't been announced yet, they might learn from what they did wrong in hots and fix it for this game

ArxIt is a lot more moba-like, but actually... TF2 is a lot more moba like than TFC. Is it a bad thing?
I think TF2 is the superior game from what I've seen, but I've got this feeling that the timing and style of Overwatch is just perfect for TF2 style teams to really burst onto the eSports scene (somewhere TF2 never has and never will go). Let's face it, if you've played TF2 for the last 7 years, you're going to have a massive advantage in a game like this compared to a CS:GO team that migrates across. If the title is successful as an eSport, it's going to be TF2 teams who can lead the way.
Yeah but TF2 is not a moba (even if it is more moba like than TFC) and Overwatch literally looks like a first person moba because it uses 3 abilities and an ult rather than weapons.
