#5 Please use mp_tournament_readymode 1. in TF2 General Discussion
KevinIsPwndeetrI think I'd personally rather deal with having an afk once in a while rather than have to wait for the 1 retard that doesn't realize he's not ready that will inevitably happen every game in pugs. As far as matches or scrims I think it would be better to use this system.Having to say "gamer, press f4" fairly often is much easier than re-execing and then roll calling every few weeks (imo). It's not a difficult thing to catch on to.

I think you underestimate how lazy people are about telling their team to ready and how stupid people are that they will forget to ready constantly

OP: You need to specify what class you want to play and what level. If you want to play highlander you should post on the http://ugcleague.com forums because this forum is aimed toward 6s players.

#15 120hz vs 140hz at 120fps in Hardware
ShiftadeetrYeah but it is more responsive objectively. Whether you care more about the tearing than the few ms of better response time is subjective.
response time is not determined by refresh rate. If you're talking about the time it takes to display a frame, the difference is <2ms at most, unless I'm misunderstanding what you're talking about?

Yeah that 2ms is what I'm talking about

phraxbearodactylShiftadeetrphrax120 fps does look better on 120hz than 144
this is objectively wrong, unless your eyes are fucked up a higher framerate will always look and respond better

120 fps is 120 fps regardless of your refresh rate

more hz is just gonna give tearing
If I'm not mistaken, even on 120fps, each frame is displayed quicker on 144hz so it would make it feel more responsive

I'd think so but from empirical testing 120fps looks noticeably worse at 144hz than at 120hz

Yeah but it is more responsive objectively. Whether you care more about the tearing than the few ms of better response time is subjective.
