I tried playing PBL with Inland Empire. It was one of the worst league experiences I have had. The people running PBL are great guys, but they are not tf2 players.
who? what league? so you tried to play in a league that people started that know nothing about tf2 that no one has ever heard of?

@ond_kaja you're seriously preaching to the choir man, NA tf2 players are well aware of the issues with ESEA, it's been our premier league for years and years now. whether you play cs or tf2 ESEA is the highest form of competition we have. it has it's ups and downs but we deal with all the BS either way

yeah this would've never happened if ESEA didn't push lan back to a later date due to CSGO but it had to happen with other events being the issue. obviously a tough spot to be in
so i know where shooter is coming from he's right with the month of down time if your team didn't make playoffs that is...thats true but the fact of the matter is the registration deadline is smack on winter break and a lot of people are traveling for the holidays.
so why is ESEA going into nazi mode with paying up? basically this would've been easily avoided if lan wasn't pushed back...then people would have time to pay up before the holidays started. in short we're being punished for ESEA's actions what a shocker. i asked 3 days ago if the upper divisions would be gutted and everyone would be in open i'm not surprised in the least that it came up now

Ond_kajaIt's kinda sad that people actually believe that the survival of American TF2 apparently depends on paying (read: donating) money to a crooked company like ESEA who seemingly do everything in their power to fuck up their customers. In return we get three LANs a year with only four teams, which are mostly just boring turtlefests where nothing interesting happens for an hour per map, while the same people win the prizes season after season. Lol, TF2 won't die just because ESEA stops supporting it because in the end only a few people are truly in it for the money.

ESEA Season 18 Registration

KillingHey guys,
There's only 10 days remaining to register for S18 and there are currently only 40-45 teams signed up. I really need all teams that are planning to play to sign up ASAP so that I can show that there should be an S18 for TF2. I really want to run another season but we obviously need the numbers to do it. This being the end of ESEA TF2 is a scary possibility.
this happens every season, people get lazy and wait till the last minute to register and/or pay up. just out of curiosity what is the exact minimum for each division? invite 9, IM is a pretty low minimum which isn't bad but whats open? in theory if there wasn't enough teams in each one would it be gutted and busted down to everyone playing open or would it be gone all together?
i know source and 1.6 had a long run in ESEA but now they're gone all together because of CSGO obviously, but what would ESEA do exactly if the numbers aren't met?
also i remember discussing with shooter which seasons were extended and the last 4 were, why wouldn't this season be?
