#42 Sustainability of TF2 as a competitive game. in TF2 General Discussion

its great seeing new blood in this game but to echo what marm and flame is saying i don't think these new players have any idea how good the top of invite actually is and how much of a grind it takes to play with them. streams don't do any justice to the skill level at all.

you have the twitch crowd that criticize players and just stroke stats all day when they barely play the game and have zero league experience but some new players aren't even that far off from that mindset. until you hop into the same server with players like banny you don't have a clue of how good they actually are

#76 ESEA S17 LAN - Day 2 in Events

one thing that players should take away from all this, when it comes to lan ESEA isn't all its cracked up to be. yeah obviously its official but that doesn't mean it makes for the best games possible, also nothing great from a spec pov

with csgo, dreamhack>esea

with tf2, insomnia>esea. international tf2 is so much better especially when you have teams from na, aus, eu etc playing on lan

mustardoverlorddefyPolarrrrma3la getting more heals than bdonski?

http://puu.sh/djw1z/46f58dc0e6.png

good demos don't need a ton of heals to pump out damage. thats a nice heal spread for the heavy classes

you are completely wrong, any heal spread where the roamer gets that many and the demo gets that few in an hour long game is pretty indicative of problems within a team, either that or just how fucking stalematey that game was and therefore bdonski was just sitting there buffed not taking dmg

compare to the gully healspread for elevate:
http://play.esea.net/index.php?s=stats&d=match&id=3906892

that's much better

seriously, look at any of the games of the top 4 teams at i52, the demos always got much more heals than a roamer (as did scouts much of the time, which is a good thing)

completely wrong? no. i'm well aware that demos get more heals than roamers. just because one game a roamer has a lot of heals it doesn't mean there are problems within a team or its a bad heal spread.

especially when they won and his damage was slightly higher than the demo. the heal spread clearly worked that game for them. if he got more heals than the demo every match then i would agree its a problem. also to echo what i said before a good demo doesn't need a ton of heals to rape...i know thats non existent in your case
