i just coached 2 games, never did before but it wasn't bad at all. i figured its a lot better to sit in spec and coach one team instead of playing so i can give someone else a chance to play anyway. the players listened really well, and for being new they definitely have a basic understanding of how 6s flow. i gave them the gist of pushes, holding, uber advantages/disadvantages, focusing targets etc. i didn't get too far in and i didn't give anything away of what the other team is doing either.
most of the time i would leave the decision making up to them so they would see the outcome of it and in return tell them why it did or didn't work. the admins of this definitely have a good thing going. and most of the people who are just getting into it, or just coming from lobbies definitely seem very eager to learn and its a positive thing since their is mumble and players aren't just randomly leaving or trolling like they would in lobbies. hope u guys enjoyed me coaching who ever was there

reillyclckwrk***Unfortunately that doesn't mean I have all the maps or rounds as recording slipped my mind a few times.PREC
Also can someone reupload by chance, eXtines link is down right now :(
pretty sure you have to disable prec upon playing matches, and i can imagine they dont want people using it at a lan like that
it seems to happen a lot with new maps, i think the general thought process during map development is no one wants you to be able to just roll last. so they make it some what of a challenge in turn making it a turtle fest for the team on defense. which makes pushes a fucking nightmare. if that makes $ense
i think its simply because the newer games appeal to the younger gamers, you cant really hit the top of games like cs, quake, tf2 etc unless you've had experience playing for a long time. this probably draws away new comers more than anything. if someone just picked up a game like league of legends they would probably have a chance of playing at a higher level than just picking up cs and starting out at the bottom. i know all games require intense thinking, but shit lets be realistic here i think it takes a lot more practice and dedication with fps...if u get rusty or take long breaks your dm suffers pretty bad and most players will just pass you up.
mainline would be better if it wasn't for last....uphill battle on a fuckin pipe. turtle last x10000000000. maybe if someone fixed it up a bit. but the last version was awful with the trains in middle blockin off each side
^ what? m0res hud was one of the best, a lot of people made their huds around his original design. see brosel. its simple and clean. a hud doesn't have to be over the top with bright colors and other distracting shit to be good
koth ashville was too short lived, only 1 season right? and maps like coldfront/warmfront lasted so many seasons...or random shitty maps replacing it like standin. koth ashville is good a long with viaduct. it makes for good matches when it boils down to raw dm back and forth play, instead of your typical 5cp
