Tagg and I play ammomod fairly regularly in fog's server. Im almost always down to play if Im not busy. Add me to play sometime if you want: http://steamcommunity.com/id/disengage/
Also, quoted from the article's comments:
enigmaMarterthantheaveragebearThis should be like a tab at the top or something, not just an article. Great worki've had this sitting around forever because i planned (and still do) to have a giant tf2 manual type thing for the tab
figured there wasn't any point in withholding sigma's portion
Goat_This site really needs like a banner or something noticeable for everyone that is not logged in saying: New to competitive?
And some guides ofc, took me a while searching through Google for different things.
this seriously needs to happen soon. like, before s14 starts at least. we keep telling all these new players in our streams who are genuinely interested in our community to "Head over to www.teamfortress.tv to get started with comp tf2... blah blah blah". But when you go to this site, imagining youve never been here before, its really hard to tell where you should start. Yes there is a coming #soon Guides tab, but like Goat_ says, a simple button that reads "New to competitive Tf2? Start here!". Then that would link you to a nice, well-formatted guide on the ins and outs everything comp tf2 (basic class roles, strategies, weapons, maps, cfgs, mumble, irc, etc). Which reminds me about the incomplete, but great guide that Sigma wrote last year: http://teamfortress.tv/articles/view/52-introduction-to-competitive-tf2-part-1
Is there any plans to finish this? Or is someone working on another? Just some of my thoughts, since I know a lot of new people are lost on where to start with 6v6.
Fogyour common folder is in SteamApps, so SteamApps/common/Team Fortress 2/tf/
EDIT: God fucking damn it disengage!
I got so excited that I could help someone first, I posted it twice
should be like this:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf
Whether you keep it MGE or switch to DM, I just wanted to thank you for keeping your server up for so long. Its appreciated.
When I was in the steampipe beta, tf2 launched in 5 seconds. It was glorious. Steampipe is a good thing guys, just one day of having to back up your shit.
like 12 gb
its supposed to be like 2 gb less after steampipe
Just to set the record straight, I wasnt trying to bash carnage really, just that if he came back, dont expect greatness right away. a season or two of practice and he could be right back as a top scout again. and yes its always cool seeing old legends coming back.
my demos folder name is 'demos' so:
prec_dir demos
