#22 Cheater/Hacker thread in TF2 General Discussion

Yes, the DPM in the logs are definitely doubled as Max pointed out. But the accuracy is very suspicious unless bugged also, he's a hacker.

Did a little search and this guy has been banned for hacking on a dodgeball server. Auto reflect maybe?

I kind of doubt the log glitched for the accuracy, as he has retarded accuracy in some other logs:

http://logs.tf/1185555?highlight=76561198138359211 92% sniper, 95% scatter.

http://logs.tf/1185532?highlight=76561198138359211 66% sniper, 95% scatter

I didn't bother looking for more than the top dozen logs to find these full on retard accuracy stats this kid is getting.

Yea he is cheating. But someone humor us with some demos please

#6 Cool new hobbies in Off Topic

I enjoy doing something "creative" every now and then, such as building something out of wood.

I also like fixing / upgrading things like electronics, bikes, scooters, cars motorcycles etc.

A couple things I'd like to learn but have not gotten into yet: 3D printers, welding, laser engraving/cutting

Photography can also be a fun hobby. I've got a couple DSLR cameras and a handful of lenses, mostly use them however for business use for taking product pictures. But sometimes its fun to take a camera out and just snap some pictures of random stuff.

Marxistwell depending on your state you may be able to sell your blood plasma - I did that to pay for a tf2 server and mumble + booze for a while when money was especially tight. The place I went on gave me 50$ a month for my blood that i was only *partially* using.

b4nny gets $600/mo from plasma IIRC. But I believe he is the universal blood type so they pay like 3x higher.

#21 7 Gamers, 1 CPU -- a $30,000 Desktop Computer in Off Topic
Max_He said the PSU was already at just above 1500 W under full load, Over clocking would most likely put it above 1600 W

The ~1540W power draw that was shown in the video was AC power consumed from the wall. The PSU is a 1600W continuous output rated Titanium rated power supply with a minimum of 90% efficiency @ 100% load. If the unit performs according to specs, it can draw ~1780W from the wall. So there is still over ~200W of wiggle room. If the cards are cool enough, they could probably do a mild OC on each card.

Thats really shitty... I'm not surprised though, money corrupts people. Thousands of dollars are on the line.

They really threw hard though 16-4 when they were supposed to win... wtf

This is just insane and makes everyone's computer look like a toaster!

The 15 minute video is well worth the watch

#7 Where to buy splitter cable? in Hardware

I would check to see if your computer even supports a mic/headphones in a single jack. I've not seen a computer with just a single jack before, but maybe that's something new they are doing?. All the laptops I've seen have 2-3 jacks.

#16 Cartels Are Using Drones to Smuggle Meth in Off Topic
Geel9It shouldn't be too hard for the border patrol to set up jammers, though.

It would be impossible to set up stationary blockers / jammers. Some quadcopters are capable of flying at altitudes of 10,000 feet or higher.

Also regarding lasers or radar to track them down. How do you tell the difference between a drone and a bird?

nickplusJust hire some kids to shoot them down. I'd love that job, 8$/hr shooting things out of the sky, its like a young North Carolinian dream.

Good luck seeing and shooting a drone that is several thousand feet in the air.

#4 Cartels Are Using Drones to Smuggle Meth in Off Topic
JarateKingIsn't this like a year old?

Here's some stuff: http://dronecenter.bard.edu/what-you-need-to-know-about-domestic-drone-threats/
Nothing's perfect of course and things are still being developed but drones aren't these unstoppable machines like some people make them out to be.

Well someone linked me the article today. It being a year old, doesn't make it any less relevant. :)

I do think though drones do pose a larger threat to national security than people give them credit. Picture an outdoor event with some highly powerful and important people. 20 programmed drones all come flying in taking different paths each with 5 pounds of C4 explosives on them rigged with remote detonation. And this kind of scenario could be accomplished with not a whole lot of resources or money (<50K$ probably).

I think the only way to protect against something like this happening would be to employ GPS blockers.

pissheadThey don't need to be unstoppable, as the price comes down the cartels will have thousands of the things flying around, it doesn't even matter if half of them are shot down.

I guess the only real way to some-what stop them, would be to follow the drone and find out where the delivery is being made so arrests can be made.

It looks like that drone was carrying a couple hundred thousand dollars worth of retail cocaine. Maybe 50-100K wholesale.

#1 Cartels Are Using Drones to Smuggle Meth in Off Topic

http://motherboard.vice.com/read/cartels-are-using-untraceable-drones-to-smuggle-meth?utm_source=mbfbvn

Found this article interesting. Police found a crashed drone with 6 pounds of meth near the border. They used a high end quad copter that is normally used to carry a DSLR camera. $1400 for the quad copter + a few hundred for the GPS add on. That's a drop in the bucket compared to the street price of 6 pounds of meth.

The crazy thing is, I can't even think of a single reasonable way to currently enforce these drones.

The only thing I can think of that might be possible would be to have highly sensitive radar detect the drone, then send another drone to chase it and take it out, or maybe the other drone has a GPS blocker which causes the illegal drone to crash.

#5 Medic Taunts when right clicking melee in Q/A Help
Phoenix21dollarlayerPhoenix21my mouse2 on medic is switch to medigun and then uber,

bind MOUSE2 "+charge"
alias +charge "+attack2; slot2; dropitem; voicemenu 0 0
alias -charge "-attack2"

Thanks, but what if I don't want mouse 2 to switch to uber. I'd rather do it manually.

I don't see how this script is bad.
if you don't want to uber, don't press it.
if you want to uber, it will switch to secondary if it's not already equipped and uber if you press it long enough.
no one stops you from switching to secondary your self and ubering, it's only an addition to it.

I never said its "bad" I just don't have any interest in it personally. I don't want to accidentally bump right click and uber when I have my melee out. I have a tendency to sometimes randomly press buttons on my mouse when in an intense fight, which is why I've disabled all my other mouse buttons (MOUSE3, MOUSE4, MOUSE5).

I assume there must be another script that will do what I want, and that is to simple disable right click when I have my melee out as medic.

#1 Medic Taunts when right clicking melee in Q/A Help

Was just playing a PUG as medic, and fighting a scout and apparently I bumped right click and taunted in the middle of fighting him. I didn't know this was a "thing" until someone in mumble told me they made that update to medic.

I checked my tf2 settings and was unable to find a way to unbind right click from causing the medic to taunt.

Does anyone know how to disable this, or can anyone write a script that will disable it? Thanks
