FreeSync/G-Sync doesn't do anything if you get more fps than your refresh rate.
Lightboost might actually make things look worse if you get less fps than your refresh rate.
So it's fairly clear cut. If you're going for 288fps no matter how low you need to put the settings then Lightboost, if you want everything to look pretty but don't want your eyes to bleed because 130fps on a 144Hz monitor look terrible then FreeSync/G-Sync.
24" 1080p with either LB or Sync should be about 300$ (about half) cheaper.
There actually is a cheap 27" 1080p FreeSync monitor, but it's not that good.
well the build you gave me will definitely reach 288 fps so it would just make sense to get a 24" 1080p lightboost monitor correct? if so can you show me one?
also going back to your previous post
Setsul The 6700K would also be possible but I don't think you'll need it.
would it be worth getting a 6700k if i can afford it? because the extra $100 isnt that big of a deal for me.
edit: also your thoughts on this case. is it fine?
