wtzhow did u guys get into collecting? What was ur first buy
I used a lot of drugs in high school recreationally, after graduation the whole friend group kinda did their own thing and i stopped doing as many drugs. I then discovered a few things: 1. I had a surplus of unused money for drugs 2. I liked kicks 3. I loved to flex. Did it big with my first serious cop and got OG shadow 1s. Wear em to/during every Raider game now, even if im at work.

Mouldconsidering that the rare pokemon always spawn in exactly the same spot (the bins behind aldi netted me 2 onix, a cloyster, a victreebell, and a lapras, none of which have appeared anywhere else at all- why isn't it random) I'm struggling to see what the point is. Once you can't contest gyms there's literally no point in playing really. You can't battle your mates or trade, so that's already worse than what we had on gameboy when we were kids. The spawn system is 100% predictable so finding good pocket monsters isn't even really fun. Apparently it's just been copy pasted from their last game.
Plus the servers are shit so half the time I don't even get my rares. Already missed out on a gengar, slowbro and tentacruel. Obviously that'll be fixed eventually but it's still annoying as hell, and I doubt I'll get back the lucky egg and the incenses that've been swallowed by the server.
So essentially it boils down to grinding the spots where the good pocket monsters spawn so you can control a gym, but why even bother when your gym can just get 2v1d and then you're SOL- and that's on top of your gym losing prestige if someone uses 3 pokemon to defeat one. There's not even any skill involved you just mash the screen as fast as possible. So for me there's no sense of actually being a gym leader, who is supposed to be the best in the area. Though then again that'd just be whoever wants to spend 50 quid on loads of incubators.
personally the novelty is gone at this point and I reckon this would have zero players if it wasn't a pokemon game, because the game is actually kind of shit really. Sorry for being a nerd tbh just a bit emotional cause I have bare fond memories of bodying idiots in the school playground and I'm right disappointed ;(
