its now consistently giving me an error similar to this upon crash

ye, it actually seems to be perfectly fine now strangely
guess if youre having problems, remove noborder
EDIT: LOL NVM

still getting crashes ;_;

when i took my settings nothing changed in visuals except its no longer noborder

its also running stable now so i think its the noborder

im just gonna use this post to document all the errors i get from tf2:

crashed with engine error "Can't load lump 8, allocation of 10934697 bytes failed!!!"

crashed with engine error "failed to lock vertex buffer in CMeshDX8::LockVertexBuffer: nVertexCount=4, nFirstVertex=0"

things i have done to try and fix:
verify
re-install
freshlaunch
verify
installing cfg into correct folder
verify
uninstalling cfg
verify

crashes on:
server connect
on ubercharge
on map change
on round end
randomly

forced up to invite unless we die

i did
trying a reinstall now

can someone help me out?

i dont have any custom things installed besides the cfg that i copied straight from my old tf
