it can't be some sort of one step tf2 config fix could it? Been talking with other people with worse hardware on higher settings and they are getting higher fps than me.
cMwcan u test other games as well and is this happening on a recent/fresh pc build? and can u post ur exact specs
Well i'm not sure what to look out for when playing other games but it seems like I am getting lower performance compared to others with same specs.
It is on a semi fresh pc build.
running windows 8.1
gtx 770
i5-4670k
120hz monitor, lightboost
(not sure what else to add)
just had a quick test and for some reason using dx9 and turning down resolution to like 1280x720 (from 1920x1080) fps still remains roughly the same which is low.
cMware the issues just related to tf2 or all games?
tf2 is the main game i play so im not too sure about other games but i think its just tf2?

Following on from my old thread of fps problems was wondering if anyone had any ideas now? The crashing is fixed somehow but fps is still alot worse than it used to be and it just suddenly happened to my knowledge
Following on from those threads i've been having crashes and really low fps recently.

Disabling overlay did seem to reduce crashes however my fps is still a real problem as it feels like its making my game really laggy and jittery, seemingly making the whole game shake whenever i look around or jump.
running windows 8.1
gtx 770
i5-4670k
120hz, lightboost
and im getting less than 90fps on pubs where previously it would at least be constantly above 200.
also running chris highframes with dx8 so this is just terrible.
Fps drops alot with mouse movement and it feels as if it is more apparent when using mouse accel
already tried reinstalling tf2 which didnt do anything
Just a quick question with prob an easy answer. How do i rebind mwheeldown? whatever way i try rebind mwheeldown to +jump it resets it, even if i put it inside of autoexec, mwheeldown becomes weapon switch whenever i start the game.
TechDudeRate controls how fast the server can send you information in bytes per second. It should only cause issues if is faster than your download speed.
Are both of these set to this?
cl_updaterate 66
cl_cmdrate 66
Do you see any choke when you enable net_graph 4?
i use
cl_cmdrate 66
cl_lagcompensation 1
cl_pred_optimize 2
cl_smooth 0
cl_smoothtime 0.01
cl_updaterate 66
rate 60000
cl_interp 0.033
cl_interp_ratio 1
i just took a guess in thinking changing interp/ratio would be a solution, if there's something else that can be done that's fine.
also pretty sure i don't notice any/much (?) choke, might be mistaken as it's not something i always keep an eye on.
I've noticed the main comp servers of where i am rate is locked at 100000, this makes me unable to snipe/scout or hitscan in general for some reason.
I use roughly 0.33 interp and interp ratio of 2, where i am able to snipe well with rate 60000 but not 100000
What would i need to change my interp/ratio so that i would be able to snipe in rate 100000 and have it equivalent to if i were using rate 60000?
i too lost frames since i installed the new driver but wasnt sure whether it was the driver or not...lost about 120 from 180 -> under 60 ... not sure what else it could have been
