Didn't see anything about this - just wanted to thank everybody for making #tf2can a massive success. We turned a negative into a positive and raised a ton of money for Child's Play.
Total donations as of 6 PM Central on Sunday is $9,081.69.
You guys are the best. Huge thanks to Dashner for not sleeping for 2+ days to make this happen and everyone else involved, KevinIsPwn, Jess and her graphics team, Erynn for helping with the servers, GetAWhale for MC'ing a lot of it, Agro and all the other amazing (actually talented) casters for pitching in.
What a rousing success! Hopefully we can make this a regular thing! Be sure the join the Steam group: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/tf2can-org
snovenPlease make FTC an enjoyable experience, its all i wanted it to be.
Maybe ask your dad for help next time. It could be a really good bonding experience and show him you're taking initiative and not sitting around wasting time online. Maybe he won't shut your internet off so frequently.
I'm serious.
If you're doing a charity thing with items, you probably want to use trusted middle men in the future. Could also make donation promises, similar to how KickStarter works, so the donation only happens after the event successfully concludes.
Shame this fell through, the TF2 community is pretty amazing, but we're also pretty damn generous and trusting... pretty easy traits to be exploited by scumbags. Good luck to everyone who donated getting your stuff back.
Just got all my travel plans locked up - I love how it's cheaper for eXtine to fly from Portland than it is for me to fly out there from central IL... air travel game is a racket, I swear.
Just a reminder to everyone confirmed going - get your tickets sooner than later. That's the only way to guarantee you sit where you want to sit. That also makes things a lot easier when everybody is doing tournaments if you're all as together as possible.
Pretty sad I missed GXL but I'll be at FITES in March, hope to see some of you out there! I'll try not to be super fucking wasted/mega ultra hungover this time.
thorn_duderGreat work, everybody involved! Corsair is a great company.
Are you going to GXL duder? We have to have a second go at the casting from WCRV. (If you remember it.)
Unfortunately, no. But I'll be there in spirit represented by Shoctor and eFFl (and of course all the eXtv guys!). We'll have to do round 2 another time. And yeah, I do remember :-)
Great work, everybody involved! Corsair is a great company.
phAZEvalve pissing off players one class at a time
Next update: Heavy can no longer move while firing.
After that: Heavy now an engineer buildable.
Shots fired. But can't jump.
Wow. Just wow. I don't even know what to say. I thought what we did with i46 was the pinnacle but you guys just completely raised the bar. This makes me rethink so many things when it comes to this game... wish I could have been a part of even a small fraction of this, or the i52 stuff... guess you really do miss 100% of the shots you don't take. Great job, everybody involved. Can't wait to see how you top it with the i52 vid.
So that one picture of me 100% captures what I'm like while casting or doing voice over stuff.
Have fun, everybody! Can't make it up today, hopefully I can meet up w/ all you crazies some other time.
Robin is really, really ridiculously good looking.
So I'm probably definitely going to this, driving up from Peoria. Not sure if I'm crashing at my parent's place in Morris after or what the hell is going on but I'm definitely going to be there.
EDIT: Annnnnnnd paid.
