The Portland Burnsiders are getting our team together, pretty eXcited about it.
9pm edt start on TryHards vs Bonus. Maybe we'll do both... I picked this one becasue we've seen a lot of 20b and Taco this season. Talked it over with Sigafoo and we thought this would be a good one. *shrug*
If you see me at TI4, gimme a Yyyaaaoooo. I might be sitting outside Key Arena for four days *fingers crossed*
Gonna be Getawhale in the booth with Mr.Stabby, should be an awesome cast.
Ahhh, you're right mustard. I saw it on the sidebar of their team-page but that was season 11. Description changed ty.
Oh and stabby is casting O_o
I'll give you a lift up there Dummy, you can ride in the trunk.
I didn't know ruwin had popped his head back up in the community until right after I filmed this.
Definitely wasn't trying to re-stoke any drama, but like I say in the video, it was a topic I had wanted to discuss and people still ask "what happened to ruwin?" all the time on streams.
I think TF2 definitely is friendlier and more mature than other communities, nonetheless there still is some bullying and antagonizing.

dMenace, I'm very pleased to see this post and wish you the best of luck. I doubt I can play in any games or contribute during the times you're looking to host things, but I can definitely help publicize some of the games via post-produced casts.
If you send me the best demos from these pugs, I will cast them and showcase them for the sake of discussion. eXtine@eXtelevision.com

I've said a lot about my feelings regarding some sort of pick/ban system and I think it is a plausible route if players are opened minded.
It's somewhat understandable that a team scrimming for ESEA (SERIOUS BUSINESS) would get upset about practice being ruined by the other team running a pyro, but really that's the type of disruptive strategies that we need to see. I would love to cast a match and at the start-up be able to break down questions like that. This team runs a pyro versus this team's demoknight. That's really what Robin Walker was trying to get at in regards to 6v6.
I'm hoping to run into some TF2 employees and talk TF2 at TI4, but really I should plan another trip up to Valve afterwards. I'm more than willing to convey the communities thoughts on things as well as try and push Valve in the right direction once again.
what if it was only demoknight then? no SR.
for once in my life, thanks for the downvotes. Keep it coming if you think it's terrible. Just throwing stuff around.
Yyyaaoooo.
Obviously these new changes are pretty mind blowing to the TF2 community. 6v6 needs to adapt, even if its just Demomen changing how they play. These drastic changes to the meta allow us some time to consider new options to freshen up the game.
I can't say that I have the time right now to manage organizing an eXperiment of what I'm about to propose, but we can at least theory craft if no organizers/teams are interested in taking it for a spin.
Do we really need Demoman_Limit 1 anymore? The trap potential of 2 sticky launchers is absurd, but what if there was a gentleman's agreement (I don't think you can technically implement it atm) that only 1 SL was allowed at a time?
People have been throwing around the idea of running w/o a demo, but traps are still incredibly strong and most likely I think we'll still see a demo for both teams all the time. The second demo could either run ScottishResistance or DemoKnight. The SR does promote more traps, but that demo could defuse the other team's traps to help break standoffs. The SR is a pretty weak active combat weapon so the Demo would still be rather vulnerable. DemoKnight has it's strengths, but a team running two Demos would by definition be sacrificing a scout or a soldier.
I can't say I know for sure how this would turn out, but it definitely intrigues me.
What does TF.tv think about this?
Hm, if custom whitelists are frowned upon can we get a whitelist option for allow everything? If any part of the TF2 community should be messing around with weapons to see what's OP and what's not, its TF2Center.com
Valve's changes has re-stoked my passion for TF2, not being able to host a game on TF2Center.com where the new weapons are usable would be disappointing.
GiraffeThanks for casting this, should be a fun game!
p.s. it's season 13 not 16
