New Steam Chat / Friends List Problems

i also have the alt tab issues. sometimes it goes away on its own and sometimes its there for the entire day. no idea what causes it, i'd assume it's possibly something with resolutions but as far as i know cin plays on native so i don't think that's the case. (possibly wouldn't happen if you ran borderless??? id test but im not being alt tabbed right now)
another issue i have is the same as #7 but it happens with all twitch, youtube, soundcloud, etc. links. no known fix and no exact cause that i know of either.
another issue i have is that new chats open in seperate windows sometimes, and in new tabs other times, regardless of my "open new chats in new tabs" setting being enabled. no idea what the cause/fixes possibly are either
i think they should have left the new UI in beta a little longer and publicly released it when it had no bugs.

it's the friends list, that things causes so much lag as #3 said. there was a thread somewhere that showed how to remove it in some file in the hud but i forgot where and it makes me sad :(

i dont know how people enjoy dm as a soldier when it's literally people playing in the dumbest way possible chasing down people with 10hp for the resup not turning their backs to you when you're shooting them
it especially sucks as soldier because you do good damage then just immediately die because a scout killsteals you and you end up with like 40 assists
