tf2 crashing computer

playing tf2 for extended periods of time inevitably gives me an instant black screen + sound loop crash. i can hear background music/mumble for a couple of seconds before my computer stops responding entirely. MGE seems to exacerbate the problem, as i'll usually crash within seconds (or if i'm lucky, minutes) of playing.
i've stress tested my gpu/cpu/memory extensively so i don't think it's a hardware issue, but i'm open to any suggestions at this point.

splashing 4 players with rocket gives you 15 hp rather than 4*15 = 60 hp

I am not sure, but aren't the stars next to your name related to the amount of +frags you have received in all of your posts? If so people could make a lot of neutral posts just to get more karma. The the forum becomes a popularity contest
if the stars and +frags arent related, then yeah I have no argument. enjoy your +frags
the stars for the moment are tied to your account rating, which at the moment you can only increase by posting and/or editing your profile for the first time
