Weird random flickers on my screen

So starting 2 days ago I'd get these random white flickers appearing on my screen every 5 seconds or so, and I'm not sure why. Someone suggested that I update my drivers to fix this, but it did not help. It also only happens in tf2, no other game. Anyone have any potential fixes for this?

I'm similar to monkeyjedi where LAN made me really want to improve again, and I haven't really felt this motivation to get better in a while. However, I know that college is only going to get harder and I'm not sure if I can commit to playing any more soon. Also, there are so many people that I'd love to play on a team w/, but I also really like my current team, and idk what to do.
also LAN made me realize more that my only friends are on the internet
