SidularPotentially odd question, but do you have Origin open by chance? I find having that program open really harms TF2 performance for some reason.

Rotten_Mind maybe there's some command in your cfg that limits usable RAM.

I actually removed my fps config, added in mastercom's config, and changed my launch options (main one was that i changed dxlevel 81 to dxlevel 95), and so far I haven't had the issue again, so I'm assuming there was something to do w/ that. (thanks 2 dolphinrider for the help :) )
Overheating isn't the issue I believe.
Also, whenever I restart my game it works fine for another ~20 minutes, then goes back into slideshow mode. HUD is also not the issue because I removed my HUD and it still happened.

This issue also hasn't happened in any other game I play.
