I honestly think at this point it's explicitly for marketing purposes

When flappy bird, angry bird, and clash of clans came out there were so many knockoffs because the games interested the casual player. Same for LOL/Dota, there were so many shitty mobas pumped out with like 1 or 2 gimmicks changed and still got tourneys(i.e. smite HOTS heroes of newerth etc). It feels like investors just want to exploit some other gimmick meshed with the most popular gametype at the moment, which right now is the blend of FPS and moba, and try to simply lure players into each of their games. OW has the best "gameplay ability" and skins, Paladins has cards, and I have no idea what the fuck battleborn's gimmick is.

I could be wrong but I really think this is just how the video game industry has changed for pc gaming.

I feel like it's sort of a Antz vs Bugs Life thing
Bugs Life was in works first, then the art director(I could be wrong?) left to dreamworks and started working on Antz with the same plot. Antz was released in films a monthish before Bugs Life in the end.

OW was in development much earlier than paladins I feel but paladins had first playable builds much before.

In the end OW battleborn and paladins all share basically the same archetype of characters and weapons and at this point I don't really care about who did it first or whatever because they are all done horribly and are uninteresting in their regards.

Any of the cornetta trilogy, especially hot fuzz

yea I think tf2 would have dropped off drastically if IM died, it's a real shame. Right when so many new players enter in and want to compete so many of the highest-skill ceiling caliber players leave, and it makes this game at the very least have a dull point in competitive. It's going to take a lot of time for people to settle in with the new generation and allows for 8 invite teams, much less one of them being a cheater who pays people money just to play with him. There just doesn't seem some extraordinary drive to make some people play for the game even more, no LAN, very few older players that were gods at the game in their old rights, etc. I really hope that this is just a small decline and it 180s into a new age in the next two seasons.

I don't know how that team works but aiera has had IM experience and more experience in general and definitely has better dm, so playerwise she is a better player. Also it's not as though she wanted to steal the spot(and she literally said she didn't know she would be replacing someone) but rather looking for the best team she could play on.

Either way my rec to you mute is to watch any scrims you had and watch any invite roamer's POV depending on preference. Focus on classes while you can and try out for as many teams as you can get until you finally solidify a spot.

This is really cool but I don't see the general practicality for people to use it unless the person. Discord made it so much easier to find scrims and pugscrims without the hassle of contacting and adding people on steam, and scheduling on esea makes it equally as easy.

Cool little project but I don't see the practicality of this over a much faster scrim finder that's like IRC

I dont see a problem with it i dont feel bad when player better than me give me shit. mason bashing people two seasons ago was great lol, and there have been sandbaggin invite teams that still have lost before.
