#2 Engineer LFT Steel Highlander in Recruitment (looking for team)

You should probably post on the UGC forums, you'll have a lot more luck finding a team there

Pendayou know the majors are 1 mil now

My bad, I should check that before I say something like that but iirc up until end of 2015 it was still 250,000 and I haven't followed cs much since then.

fade-Fenryrif we're talking about the development of cs into more of a dota/league level of esport many pros have said throughout streams that they'd rather have a higher prizepool tournament than just $250,000 majors each few months. I'd rather see a multi-million dollar prizepool that gets all sorts of coverage too since it's something definite that teams will shoot for other than "it's just another major there's gonna be another one pretty soon". Majors were helpful developing csgo from it's original, tiny playerbase but it's now got a huge playerbase and audience to move to a more developed plan.

Basically have a huge tournament to overshadow the others and make it a driving goal of cs along with smaller tournaments than having a bunch of 250,000 dollar majors with faceit and esl/esea giving equally as much money for top4 contenders.

Also: Fuck cevo with regards to cs, they don't give nearly as much proper attention to the community as esea has. Playing in a MLG tourney and a bit in regular season ages ago they had one of the worst interactions with my team along with many others, have no legitimate anticheat, awful servers with anus routing, and a lack of improvement.

however valve is the one funding the tournaments, mlg still isn't the same things as esl or wesa. if wesa came to being, it would be nearly entirely controlled by esl / esea / turtle entertainment (same company). mlg could not host tounrmanets that wesa members can play in (navi nip etc) without possibly paying a fee

considering valve is the one funding this anyways why is there a need for this considering the community has had nothing but a positive reaction to the mlg columbus events

also dreamhacks are esl / esea events for csgo

MLG are partners with CEVO iirc and as far as leagues go, CEVO struggles to keep up to esea. I don't think with regards to LCS that is the reason why league is slowly going down in viewership, but I get where you're coming from. Overall I'd rather see the scene going but I haven't been a fan of cevo's interaction with the community in my experience at least.

#12 ESEA going for steam greenlight??? in Esports
nopeflufnMore tf2 players need to realize you don't have to use UGC to play comp. this might help thatYou don't need an invasive piece of 'Anti-Cheat' software that's never caught a cheater, either.

Because their anticheat team is more dedicated to a larger series that the company has supported since day 1. As stupid as it sounds, I think that tf2 needs an increase in playerbase before they start providing an anticheat server alongside more secure servers.

cerealWould they make it cost more on steam because valve would take a cut of the profit?

Probably because there are a lot of people who don't have paypal and can access steam through gift cards, trading, and selling on steam's marketplace and valve takes a percentage of revenue generated from selling games/programs.

Either way with how many people create cosmetics for tf2 and browse for cosmetics hopefully this will grab some people's eyes and increase the playerbase.

#38 Make UGC Great Again in TF2 General Discussion
WillmaticIf ESEA cared about TF2 I would say now would be a good time to test the waters and start a Highlander League for 1 season. While I agree that 6s is the more skill intensive format, it would be interesting to see how many people would pay to play HL.

Look at how many teams have unpaid players on esea, and how many people are roster riding. People in a huge division like steel or iron dont want to have at least 9 players(usually even more just because subs and ringers are used) pay up to most likely not win money. It would also make esea lose a lot more money on buying servers that the return investment of hl players wouldn't cover.

holofernesFenryrsennheiser cx 300s have been the best earbuds ive used and ive only paid 30ish for themthe uneven cord length design (of the 300-ii's at least) is the stupidest thing ever tho

I just have the right end wrapped behind my neck and it's literally never caused me issues but it is a bit dumb imo.
