#394 rayshud in Customization
raysMake sure that your materials, scripts, and resource folders are all in their own folder within the custom directory. I just downloaded and installed from the zip without any issues.

I moved them out to back them up and forgot to move them back in, whoops.

thanks for the help rays, and thanks for the hud, too

using the download link to the zipped file provided has made my hud and game menus all return to default, only thing I tried to change was the team indicator bar and I went back and checked with the original hudplayerhealth file anyways :<

#12, I've canceled my orders and opted to look into more input before I actually make my purchase, thanks for giving me the heads up before I settled on something subpar

Just a bit of advice, don't do that in the future.

I might have jumped the gun a bit, but the parts looked nice for the price and I talked it over with some of the more tech-savvy people I know before I made the decision to buy

I've looked into that website, most everyone has told me that their builds aren't the best use of my money and that parts they list are often not the best you could get for the price.

That said, I've just ordered all the parts element provided me with, thanks for all the help!

Something like this. I'm not the best at PC part lists so someone may have to tweak it.

I'll probably end up cutting out the mechanical then, since that setup is a bit on the high end of $700, but thanks for helping out.

EDIT: I may just order the case from newegg, I've never even heard of microcenter and it doesn't look like they do anything besides instore pickup

elementDo you need a monitor/OS/other peripherals?

if I can budget for it I might be interested in a 120/144hz monitor but if I can't work it in without sacrificing too much I don't think I'd be interested in anything else.

EDIT: possibly a decent tenkeyless mechanical if there's any good deals

#1 Building a computer for tf2 in Hardware

I've got a budget of ~$700 for a computer that I'd like to be able to play tf2 with a decent amount of fps.

I don't think I'm going to need to buy a new HDD.
If possible I'd like to just use amazon to buy my parts, since I'll get free 2-day shipping with the prime trial I activated. I don't live near any computer stores or anything of the like anyways.

I honestly have no clue what I'm doing though, so I'm willing to defer to any expertise you guys might have.
