TF2 crashing on startup

I'm currently experiencing this same issue
it's tf2 specific (for me), I can run hl2 and l4d2 just fine so I know it's not hl2.exe screwing up on it's own
any luck figuring out what's wrong/fixing it?
EDIT: after turning my comp off last night the problem seems to have sorted itself out for me, if it was something on valve's end hopefully it was fixed

the part I find inconvenient is desperately trying to mash my mouse in the short window between when the video loads and when the ad comes up on the video so I can click it to go to twitch
there should be a straight to twitch button at least in a convenient place at least on the tf.tv page of the stream, if not on the sidebar imo

placing a limit on UGC steel players per team isn't a very smart idea imo, since a majority of new players go straight to steel anyways, on account of the iron 6s league being made about two seasons (~6 months) ago.
I'd limit UGC 6s players based more on how many seasons they've played than which division they play in since you can technically start anywhere in UGC regardless of your actual skill level.
