I'm not really doing any gaming lately, actually my biggest priorities right now are just durability, sound quality, comfort, and to a much more minor degree, portability.

I'm already pretty set on getting a pair of Audio-Technica ATH-M50s, but I'm wondering what the different is between the coiled cable and straight cable. Couldn't find a thread on the cords specifically. My Sennheiser 202s finally died and I'm looking for something that will last a real long time.

If the coiled cable helps at all in the durability department, then I think I'd go for that but I'm just wondering from people with experience if it makes a difference and is worth the extra $20 on amazon. Also if anyone knows somewhere that has them cheaper than $140-$120, that'd be neat too.
