Also I just realized that you could make the same as the fps config thing, just for serverconfigs in settings.scr like "ugc9v9.cfg" and "etf2l.cfg" and maybe a "regen.cfg" that regenerates your health over time!

I think you could put this file in your "custom/whatever/cfg" folder, maybe it won't be overwritten by updates.
R3VoltAfter poking around for nearly a half hour, I've finally been able to make the FPS Config drop down menu fsXD was talking about!
Does it save the value when you close tf2?
I can help with German as well
The server settings look pretty neat and I guess that it'd be possible to change fpsconfig with a plugin :)
Today I went through the files in my cfg folder and I checked out "user.scr" which actually stores the data for the for the advanced options. So I added
"cl_first_person_uses_world_model"
{
"First person uses world model"
"custom tooltip"
{ BOOL }
{ "0" }
}
and what got was this (full image):
Maybe with a nice skin and special options this menu could actually be something like a gui for the console commands, maybe you can even use rcon commands in there! You can checkboxes, use drop down lists, which could be useful for prec, sliders and text inputs.
In "settings.scr" is list list of server settings, haven't tested it but it also looks useful!
I personally don't like stuff that's written in italics because it's less readable and thus drags my attention away from the text, rather than making me want to read it. I'm sorry to say it that way, but please don't use italics.
.:Update v4.2:.
- 4Script now opens external files!
- Added option in settings to make 4Script the default .cfg editor.
incrementvar r_drawviewmodel 0 1 1, but that's a terrible way of doing it, use the code above
flyingsnorlaxturtsmcgurtscrashes if you don't set a proper path for your HUD in the initial step.
i figured out why it was crashing. also, i've managed to get the model to appear, i just need to center it in the box it appears in.
He's saying that 4Hud crashes if you don't set up a proper path (the same thing actually happened to 4Script in the beginning), you're talking about TF2 crashing.
thrasherThis may be a dumb question, but is there any chance that this program could somehow get detected by VAC as a cheat? Erroneous VAC bans are very possible.
This tool only does winapi calls so I guess that tf2 thinks that it's just normal window moving and key pressing. I don't think that VAC will do anything, especially because you normally don't go on public servers when you test huds.
tiger_1829Windows 8 detected it as a possible virus. I'll try to work around it but in the meantime, you guys should check on it. Great looking software so far :)
As mentioned before Avira also detects the updater as a virus, I am however gonna change the update system in the future so that I can only repeat the stuff I said above.
flyingsnorlaxhelp please?
How about just looking into the file and figuring it out yourself? Names is tf2 huds are pretty damn obvious.
I think an apology thread would have been better than this.
ScootaLewisSo I put that into the file you named?
You replace the existing "ServerButton6vs6" and "ServerButton16vs16".
